hope it helps.
Here is the info that I digged up, and was slow at putting it up.
I asked them all the same questions regarding,
Closing the doors, why?, whats happening and options
Bill Thompson Auto Rubbers
LC LJ Coupe Door Rubbers, $55.40ea.
- Got the previous bunch back
- Previous production was a problem, new stuff in a fortnight, maybe longer.
- They may be ok, dont know if there any different as of yet.
- Rubber was to thick.
- Same manufacturer as Toyota use etc.
- Made in Taiwan (what isnt?)
Betta Auto Rubbers
LC LJ Coupe Door Rubbers, $60.00ea.
- Rare Spares moulds.
- If they took the time to sell you the right products like Rubber Magic they should click close like a treat!.
- He got some info and testing done from a panel beater.
- Some gaps are different from car to car.
- Treat it with Rubber Magic
- Spray with Rubber Magic then leave it for 2-3days, closing the door firmly with two hands, repeat for 3 weeks.
- The original mould was fine, someone of something stuffed up the mould.
- SHOULD Invest in Rubber Magic.
Restorers Hotline (Rare Spares SA)
LC LJ Coupe Door Rubbers, $59.80ea.
Being re-made, as low on stock.
The Rubber Shop
LC LJ Coupe Door Rubbers, $60.00ea

- They have a problem with the rubbers.
- Spray the rubber with Armour All, and polish the paint where the rubber will interact with, watch it over time and repeat.
