Thanks for your opinion, its been noted!

Its also about raising money to keep this site going, and as well as getting some money from the sale of these shirts as they are, it would be beneficial to the forum if someone like Rares would sponsor the forum then we could do one of two things.

1) Reduce the cost of ths shirts making them more accesible for everyone
2) Put some more money in the forum account for doing other things like more shirts, stickers etc.

There are positives and negatives to every side!

I dont want to go back to yet another bloody poll, but we'll certainly be looking in to our options!
Cheers.

:wtf:
I should probably just crawl back in my hole here......but where'd this 'Too FLy' bizo come from? :fool:

There's no 'real' relavance or history of it to the general punter on the street....why have it there other than to confuse or create something...

'To Fly' came about because we needed something to enhance the shirt a bit, we wanted to have the holden logo on the sleev but couldnt, so we thought of a slogan or something that we could use to define the website, or toranas. So we all thought that we use 'To Fly' It has spiritual meaning with the torana and is only something us torana owners know. I think i am going to have lots of people ask wat it is and wat it means, which will be great! cos there is nothing i like talking bout more! Toranas!

Im very Proud of how this shirt looks, and i will be happy to see people wearing it as i can say, i designed that shirt! (with input from everyone of course!

Regarding the Rares Logo, im not really fussed either way! it will get us discounts at Rares too!

My thoughts are that if you enter into a sponsorship agreement it should be for a specified period. Set a review date at the commencement of the first production of the shirts. At the end of the specified time the agreement can be reviewed as well as any design changes. In time people may have new ideas or be simply tired of certain logos. Or perhaps have become sick of explaining what to fly means? The review would also create a greater demand as people may want to purchase the latest version?

I understand what ya mean Daggy, But 253 is right. Cause we coudlnt ( well didnt want to... too many headaches) use the Lion Logo, i suggested that we create our own logo.. That To Fly was just something i whipped up in 30 seconds as an example of something we could create and keep as our logo.

It was used on the shirt cause of a lack of other designs as everyone seened to agree that the shirt needed something else to break it up a little.

I think most of us here know that the word "Torana" means To Fly and thats why i chose it, its not trademarked or anything that i know of. it was just a quick idea but yeah.. whatever!

I'm more than happy to have rares badge on the shirt, They are helping us out to keep our cars going and looking good with their products, and theyre also keen to help the site and forum out itself.

I too am proud of how this shirt looks, and i think its a job well done to everyone who took on the job of helping to design it!

Cheers.

I know that sponsorship means more money to the forum and other benifits, but I would like to see the shirts stay soley torana forum based.

I for one would be more than happy to give a donation or subscribe or what ever you want to call it to help support this great site.

I see rares name on them as a bit of a sell out ( All due respect and no offense intended Les, I know rares do heaps for the industry and all the rest). But I would just like to see them stay as OUR shirts.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I will take one for sure, just goin to wait untill the Final pricing/ payment details come into play,

Regarding the comment of LES About the Rare Spares connection to the shirts
Say if they were to come to the party and donate and get their emblem on the shirt
what would the thoughts be of actually getting these shirts sold through Rare Spares?even for a limited time
as this would promote this awesome forum and make more of a name for its self,
Just a thought

Cheers :D

I am sure if Les was to indicate wearing a shirt into rare with his logo allowed a discount automatically no-one is going to winge then.

I like the idea of having the shirts available at a Rare Spares store, from a marketing perspective it will benefit us FAR MORE than them, onyah les. It will be a good sight to see instead of seeing Ford shit everywhere you go.

I would not however like to see a bloody great big Rare Spares logo on them, however I will tollerate a small one.

Anyway, its good to see this forum actually doing something. Good one KNOATH and TINY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I give a top rating of 5 bananas for the T-Shirt:

I was also thinking that, if Les wants to sell the shirts at Rares outlets cool, great promo for the forum, they can have their logo on it,

but the ones that are brought on the forum should stay sponser free ...

Les can buy them from us to sell in the stores just as we all buy rares products, that way everybody wins, we make money buy selling rares the shirts with the sponsor logos and the forum people can buy them without the logos

it may just mean getting shirts made with and without the rares logo

Yeah, that's right Tinkers, everyone that has ordered a shirt and pledged to pay should keep it that way.
