Some brand names I have are,
TRW - on ebay
REPCO
Pedders
KOK Group - often on ebay
Power Max - on ebay
Road Safe
And what ever else that isn't mentioned here. Which is quality and what are the benefits of each one?
Or, does it really matter, are they all good?
Thanks

Hi rodomo.Who was the original OME, OEM, MOE? (strike out those not applicable) I thought it was TWR for Holden?
Dyslexia is bad this time of year.
OEM = Original Equipment Maufacturer
TWR = Tom Walkinshaw Racing
TRW > not sure what this acronym stands for but, they are/were a huge multinational company who, at one time did make the best replacement front end bits.
AFAIK the original bits in Holdens were made in-house by GM-H, these were the best, but of course no longer available.
Just about all the brands mentioned above (including modern TRW) are made in Asia (what isn't nowadays) & I personally haven't found any as good as the original or the old TRW.

I opened 1 of the plastic bags when I got them to have a good look and then they have lived in their boxes in the cupboard for 2 years and on the one I opened, the rubber dust boot has perished badly with splits all around the edges.
Makes you wonder how long they would last in service on a car.
I don't like the idea of Nylock nuts on critical suspension bolts either which most of the cheaper Balljoints seem to come with these days.

Yep had the exact same thing happen to me same brand too.I opened 1 of the plastic bags when I got them to have a good look and then they have lived in their boxes in the cupboard for 2 years and on the one I opened, the rubber dust boot has perished badly with splits all around the edges.
Makes you wonder how long they would last in service on a car.
I installed mine and a week later I checked them only to find them split

I was looking at the repco sealed type balljoints a few months back and they still used the castellated nuts.

They do them for early chev, late chev as well as chrysler(screw in type), just can't find out specs on any of these to see if they will suit Holden lower..

I will do some digging.
Do you have an indication of lead time for orders?
Cheers Greg..

Freight is more than the order however
So working on alternate freight arrangements
I'm sure no-one wants to pay $75 per balljoint inc freight
