thats good to hear tinkers.

More girls up there dominating the place might help too. I cant wait to enter a car up there one day. If guys want to scream crap at me so be it, ill know that im the one in a car and entered and whooping there asses. hehe

and glad to hear you take your kids. The years i went up i was shocked how many families are up there. so hope that continues!!!

this years nats was an absolute JOKE what a pathetic car show i have entered a car every year for the past 4 or 5 years however i sold my car recently and didnt have my hb ready in time which i am now VERY glad its not i was with a group of mates both girls and guys and all of us being around 18-22 yrs old all day the girls copped it from the drunks it was an absolute joke it was "show us ya tits" and red top red top get em out" all day these girls are seasoned summernatters and they have said that they will not be going back which is a shame as they love done up cars but dont want to be harassed like they were this year. on another not i took my old lj to summernats 19 and we painted it just befor nats and got it going on the wednesday before nats. we were cruising and enjoying it all until im assuming it was a drunk squirted brake fluid out of a bottle on to the torrie we were able to wash it off pretty much straight away but thats not the point you CANT take a decent car to nats any more and if you do it seems like security will let the drunks run wild while the people who are there for the cars suffer the consequences.

i realy belive chic should look at powercruise at eastern creek the first year it was there they had grog and some bad stuff happend so the next year it was banned entrant numbers were about the same that year but look at 2007 powercruise 8 the place was packed with cars and guess what no bloody grog people dont go to car shows for the grog they go for the cars chic has lost the passion he once had i personally will be joing smokem after seeing security this year and boicotting summernats altogether either as an entrant or spectator and im not alone either my mates have several cars at nats this year none of them will be back either we cant wait for POWERCRUISE a TRUE blue car show NOT a piss up :gun: :gun:

sounds like its getting worse by the year, i haven't been probably never will by the sounds of things, the news makes it worse, the organizer comes on and states "this is for teenagers to middle age men from 18 till there mid 20's not a family event"

what are we all coming to!

This security guard needs to be charged with assault - you can even see/hear the other security guy challenging him, and he says 'I'm just doing my job'!!!

I can't believe this event has any sort of future, problems everywhere.

NO matter what he did he didnt deserve that from those gaurds.

Thanx for the link Jake, that is so wrong in so many ways, agree with Monkey, those security guards should have their Sec Lic taken from them and then charge them with assault, no call for hitting and kicking somebody like that.

Honestly the only thing I can see that will make Chic Henry change the event is if someone gets majorly hurt and sues his ass for a motza.

Maybe that guy getting bashed in the video would have enough grounds to take Chic to court and have a judge decide the fate of future Summernats. As for me I have been to 5 nats in previous years and I could see then that this was were the event was heading and stopped going.

Chic announced on WIN TV News that those two particular security guards will not be seen at Summernats again.

Whilst I do not condone kicking it was certainly not to the head as stated.

A kick with a sandshoe is not particularly warranted but its not that harmful it looks bad and gets the softcocks in the community all up in arms lol

There is a lot more to that story than the footage shows. Those bouncers were being taunted for hours by that guy and a hundred others just like him.

Me personally am on the side of the security staff there, yeah call me a thug. Some of those assholes deserve a touch up.
No more correspondence will be entered into by me on this matter.

herne: kicking someone when they're down no matter what type of shoes they're wearing is very low indead + security guards are paid to do a job and being taunted (if they were) is in their job description if they dont have enough descipline they should not be working, remeber security is there to keep things safe instead they get thier jollies of bashing drunk bogans.

SAME as in a work place, does the BOSS -

A. Go punch the Fock out of someone for causing shite or

B. Sack them and escort them out

If you think that bashing someone is the correct way instead of ejecting them you need to seriously have a think

Howabout the cricket...do the security eject or bash?

or even at any other venue, public venue

i understand complety if there is a threat to personal safety..by all means do whatever you need to, but looking at the clip the security were in no threat or danger..

The environment created by this event is what leads to these idiots hassling the security guards anyway. Testosterone + Grog + Boredom = Trouble.

But there is surely a better way to handle the situation than that shown in the video.

I can see where you are coming from but you would admit there would always be heckling, especially with all the grog.

Heckling can be fun too if taken the right way BUT being racist and personal is too much.

The first punch you would think was enough to send the message but why all the rest when you see the victim walk away after the first punch?

I assume you have been in this position and can relate to it.

What other options did security have??

I agree the first punch would have done me as the guy went down. :) I would have let it settle at that unless he got up swinging. In no way shape or form would I ever lay the slipper in (kick).

Yeah I have been there before on many an occasion. Cant do it now, nothing lasts for ever. Damaged hip from a car accident saw to that.

This is the sort of crap that happens at night clubs and trouble spots like that, shouldnt happen at a car event.

A real security gaurd would have left it at one hit. a Thug takes it too far.

If you are in security you expect shit, and thats the point of training and things, the things shown in that video is pure crap. If someone picks on me all day and i beat the crap out of them but im not wearing a yellow vest it is assault, why should it be any different?

I think the true soft cock in this whole thing is the security gaurd who couldnt take a bit of stick from drunken tossers. If he was as tough as he thinks he wouldnt have had to resort to that crap.

The incident happened in daylight to... ie happy hour (night time) hadnt even started!

And the VL and LX burnouts above^^ seen that heaps of times, normal S'Nats carry on. As I have been to the event many times, it dosent shock me that it happens.

OK, I return to my initial statement with the "poorly trained" bit.

Those guys are most probably untrained in my opinion, or simply don�t have the mental capacity to be security guards.

Maybe someone here like Bomber can back me up here.

There are SOOOOO may tactics that can be used to deal with a potentially violent situation. Punching and kicking are only two of them, Many more include restraint and submission.
Generally through their training they learn self control and the importance of it.
The other aspect of this is that goons will probably go next time in rivalry to fight with security.

I train frequently with Security guards, bouncers and cops. And let me tell you, I wouldn't want to be kicked or punched in the face by some of these guys.
They definitely know how and are capable of doing a fair bit of damage with a sandshoe or knocking you to the ground with an open palm strike, possibly breaking your jaw.
They're only taught to use strikes when absolutely necessary.
These dickheads forgot they were doing a job.
The bigger security guard outweighed the little guy he was beating up by 2:1 and was twice or more his strength and was sober.
He could have walked him away in a gooseneck hold which is pretty painful but can leave the guy without injury.
And if he REALLY REALLY needed to throw one, he could have curled him up with a strike to the abdomen, winding him and leaving him gasping on the sidewalk and possibly throwing up all that booze for the next 1/2 hour.

OK, lets have a closer look....

We'll call the bigger security guard, No1, and the other one No2.

At the beginning there's obviously some kind of verbal confrontation, but you can't see too well because it's blurred and there's a crowd.
as the guy was backing off and walking backwards, No1 gives him a left punch to the face which sends him staggering and heading well away from them to the trees. No2 goes after him leaning forward as to have a go also.
No1 & No2 both follow him back to where the trees are.
As No1 walks around the trees, probably to make sure this guy won't get any help from anyone else, No2 goes after him and gives him a further left and right punches to the head from behind the tree and then another left and then attempts what looks like a failed choke hold, probably to get a few hooks in to the temples from behind.
This guys is obviously diminished and is still retreating, but No2 two runs in like a hero and gives him a left then a right uppercut while his head is down, with his radio in his hand.
At the same time No2 is giving him more lefts and rights to the head about 4 or 5 of them, until the guy falls to the ground.
While No2 is keeping people away from helping, No1 kicks him in the ribs and gives him a further left to the face.

Herne, I am really disappointed with you. I had a lot more respect for you.
Let me give you an example, and I know this is going to sound insulting and possibly challenging, but I don't mean it to.... Just being considerate there Alan, not a softcock.

But that guy would weigh over 120Kg and is probably a lot stronger than I am, where I weigh 92Kg. We are all made of mere flesh and bone, I guarantee, that if you were that little drunken yobbo and I kicked you in the ribs, you would have 3 broken ribs. and if I belted you in face like that then you could be missing teeth, have a broken nose, black & cut eyes and probably a fractured Zygoma. And if you opened your mouth at any time instead of clenching your teeth, probably a dislocated and/or broken jaw... I'd probably break a number of bones in my hands doing it, but hell, I'm a pissed off neanderthal thug who can't control himself.

How's that as a payment for telling me to "get fvcked you black bastard".

And someone sitting back on an internet forum somewhere would be calling you or anyone speaking in your defence,� a �softcock�.

Would I smash someones head in if they pushed me too far? Yes I would.
Would I do it as a Security guard on the job? No I wouldn't.

They are supposed to provide SECURITY ! What kind of security is that?
And remember, this is only ONE example of what went on down there with the security guards.

Putting aside the drunkenness and the violence from both spectators and security guards and cars getting damaged�.. But I will NEVER go to an event where women get treated like that !!!!

It's simple,.. boycott the whole fvcken thing, and it'll change.
