my sincerest condolences to the cooper family.
i was at the track on sat. and the car finished up right in front of me.....just kept waiting for him to unbuckle and get out like the others who have contacted the same piece of wall....i had to walk away.................laz

Yes, another sad day in Australian Motorsport.
Very good driver, came close to winning Commodore Cup C'ship in 2005.

A sad weekend for motorsports, but from this mornings Adelaide paper, Ashley's organs have been donated, and will save up to seven lives, including a 6 year old.
Like many others I suppose, I hadn't even heard of Ashley before the Clipsal weekend, but I'll remember him as someone who saved lives, not someone who lost his in a motor race.
