I see well thank you mate, how much did the Kings and Konis set you back. Ill need everything, bushes, swaybars, shocks, springs the lot. What do i do for them?

you will need a grand for shocks and springs you mentioned

you will find the bushes that pedders sell are fine , there rubber ones are good quality .. swaybars not sure on cost

The list.
#1: Eibach
#2: Carrera
#3: King
#4:....the rest.......
Keep in mind though that when you buy at least the top 2 you are buying precision that a street car really doesn't need.
For a daily.... Use whatever spring sits it at the height you like, and put your money on some good shocks.
For a racer..... well how fast you go is in direct proportion to what you spend.

Rocky is a fair hike from Maryborough, how much did you say they cost you Rory? What would you recomend for sway bars. Theres a nolathane kit on ebay selling for $375 complete enhancement kit. Is that good?

Pardon the ignorance.

Liam.

How do KYB Monotube Gas-a-just shocks compare to all these?

I have these in my car, They are a shit load better than the Monroe ones i had in previously as you would expect. But how do they compare to Koni or Bilstiens?

I need to upgrade all my springs to get there Full potential, But So far i think they are great. Nice and Firm, But not too firm for a streeter...

I'm running King Springs and Koni Shocks in the LJ, and am quite happy with them. I did have Pedders in the rear at the start cause the orignal back springs were sagged terribly (like 2 1/2" on the drivers side) and i had to do something about it.

I thought the pedders had a pretty harsh ride, but i don't remember anything else. I did put the springs back in for the last fun day (standard height) to stop the wide race tires from scrubbing and the car felt a lot more floaty in the rear on the track but then my kings are 1" lower.

I had a full pedders "comp" suspension setup in my VR commodore. Was installed when i bought the car, cost the old owner over 3 grand.

The car road very firm (lets just say my mum hated getting rides)

I didnt mind it so much, but that was mainly because the car stuck to the road like shit to a blanket.

supposedly had "oil" somethingaratha filled shocks, pedders springs and swaybars/link pins.

Lovells springs in the LJs seem to do pretty well all round.

King springs in my VT (2 inch lowered) ride pretty nice.

The 1" lowered king springs i just put in my missus SX seca with monroe struts will get a good work out in a week when i get my licence back.

ive got konis shocks and kings lows in the lj and its a great ride, pedders super lows springs and pedders sports riders in the vs and its sh@t 1 side of the car sits 15mm lower now after 2years only reason i went pedders was i had a mate working there so got it at cost... i was never really a fan of king springs but in the lj with the konis is great for a street car

Sorry Guys...was in Sydney at a wedding.

Aggro...Dobinsons do distribute other stuff but they are a spring manufacturer as well.

Liam,
The Nolathene kit is one the money...you can get it for the same price at Repco.
Dobinsons post Aust wide...
For sway bars I used KMAC on the front and a std V8 SLR on the rear for the time being...the rear will depend on handling characteristics once it is up and running.
I am also doing the Floord 1/2" studs front and rear as well.

So which one is cheaper then, Lovells or King Springs?

Id imagine King Springs would be cheaper as they are more readily available. Lovells seems to me like more of a performance application. Which would be why it would be more expensive. But as someone said to me once, "Buy good stuff once and you wont need to replace."
