Yeah Red, them Sunroofs were abig rage in Tassy in the 1980's, lots of cars were getting them done, thank God that trend died later on.

My current car has a sunroof, a factory fitted one however. I wouldn't have ordered one if I bought the car new though. I found recently they aren't laminated either when mine shattered. Replacement..? Near imposible to get a new glass for one, you have to buy the whole panel and at over $700 it's not cheap.

This car was in an Street Machine ad. I don't see how that makes it more valuable.

Point out where I said that it was more valuable??

Having history and being valuable are two different things.

INTEREST however is seperate. There would certainly be more interest in restoring a former SM feature car and something that seems to be well remembered, than there would be in restoring your run of the mill, run down rusty shell...

065lrg doc green torana.jpg i know what your saying ORANGE LJ certain cars especially back in the 80,s and 90,s seem to have a bit of a cult following as the only way we saw these cars was through magazines like performance street car ,street machine etc as there was no internet to just simply view any car u want too at anytime u want too .My personal view is that is does add some sort of value to certain buyers ,now whether that be price or just that some buyers would actually have fonder memories of certain cars which would make the car more attractive to them because of it, and maybe not to others .But remember this only one person ever buys your car ......and maybe its more attractive to that one buyer possibly because the car does have HISTORY...i currently own this panama A9X MONSTER and i think this car has some HISTORY as alot of people remember this car because of the cover shoots in PSC,AND SM which would make it more attractive to certain buyers but possibly not to others but as i said only one person ever buys your car

Hey Rollo, any pics of what it looks like now?

id love to see how a lot of the different feature cars from years ago ended up, maybe stashed in garages (hopefully) and never see the light of day?

i remember fitting a windscreen in that torana some 25 years ago in a workshop on parramatta rd lewisham,..i last saw that car around the campsie area...never forgot the number plate demon or the twin glass pop up sunroof something i really hated about the car...

I'm reading the thread & thinking ...... yep, i remeber that car in SM. I'm sure it had a sunroof though!

Even after looking at both articles, i still can't see a sunroof. I need a Bex & a lie down.
