O.K. sorry :D
Did you fit the electronic dissy after Terry looked at it?
It sounds like the dissy might have just moved on it's own, like a loose clamp?
With the pinging, that tells me it is too far advanced and the timing needs re-setting.

Worse case is your plastic gear has allowed it to jump a tooth or 2.

Thats cool mate, sorry for sounding rude, was just in a shit mood.

Yeah the nrma guy said the tooth could of jumped a cog or 2 aswell. I took the cog out and its stripped off one little tooth. Best to get a new cog and re-fit? I odnt have to set timign and all that again right mate? Just line up the timing marks and put the dissy in at the timing marks?

cheers

You will have to find No.1 firing but do that before you pull the dissy out.
That way you will get an idea where it goes back. Take note of where the rotor button is pointing. It may still not be right, though maybe enough to get it running. It will need to be timed with a timing light after.
The plastic gear is available from Bursons or the one off you old points dissy is the same part.

Maybe the 11th after 2pm or the 15th after 6pm if that suites, let me know and make sure you remind me o.k.
