Well what can I say?? That was certainly a night I will remember for a very long time. And one that I am soo glad is over!!
To Rob: Mate, thanks for the apology. It is appreciated by me. You guys weren't the only ones, and I even had to talk to some others about "toning it down" while the interviews were on. It amazes me how people will pay $99 per head to come to the event, then when these "legends" of ours are talking, they don't want to shut up and listen to what they have to say.
It was very satisfying for me, as the organiser, to have the likes of Bev Brock, Fred Gibson, etc come up and say that is was the BEST function that they have been to in a long time!! No one had a bad word to say about the night, and that's all you can ask for!!
There were alot of "behind the scenes" hurdles that we had to overcome and some of these hurdles were still happening up to 6.00pm on the night.. But that's another story..
To everyone that came to the dinner, thanks you very much for your support of the event. I think that in the end we raised something around the vicinity of $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House, which is great for them!!
I would also like to thank Todd Martin, our MC for the Dinner. He was great, both for the dinner ,and Toranafest. Todd was requested by Harry to do the interviews at the dinner and then I asked him to stick around for Toranafest, which he did.
cheers
Mick

The young girl behind the counter thinking they were poor, asks if she could help out by purchasing a second burger so the old lady didnt have to wait for her hubby to finish eating half the burger before he hands it across to her so she can eat the other half. She replied "No, I am waiting for the teeth".
Maybe its Bev's turn to eat ???

Your Hatch Hutch or mine?
That's the most inventive and now here is what Bev actually said
Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just glad to see me
Nah, Bev said "Wait a minute, I've got a bit of chocolate cake on my lips"
She then wiped it off and then we had this photo taken
After her interview at the HDT tent on Sunday I asked if she would come over to my SS so I could get a few photos.
No troubles at all she said and 10 minutes later after signing many autographs this was the result.
As said, gracious lady and I am very glad that I met her
Regards .............. Barry
PS and this photo was taken to give my ticker a jump start

The only problem I can see now it that it appears that you might be bi-sexual as you love both Peter and Bev (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Well done!
Mick.
