Mmmm, nice. Good narrow heat band as well, and a bit of silicon as well. All good signs.

Dats da shit Big T, congratulations :spoton: :spoton:

FYI see in the last pic where the weld penetrated all the way thru, thats the sign of a good strong weld, not as important for panel patch repairs but essential for structural welds.

Tip; if not using the mig for long periods remove the wire roll and seal it in an air tight container preferably with the moisture wick packets that come in shoe boxes as the wire will rust and when u use it again the rust will build up in the liner and eventually clog it up causing the wire to stick when feeding.

Also to counter the above i peg a lil piece of rag in the welder on the wire between the spool and the first feeder before the rollers, this will help strip any gunk off the wire and keep it out of the liner.

Nice one Big-T!

My dad and i did a community college welding course not long ago.. 8 weeks 1 night a week and had some fun doing all types of weding! Just gae us the courage to give it a go as needed.

One book i can recommend to read is: "Welders handbook" by Richard finch.it's a HP books book it's ISBN number is 1-55788-264-9 and covers all types of welding with some pretty good and basic information. I paid $40 for mine!

Page 8 on this website shows you the cover: http://www.bevenyoun...au/hp books.pdf

Or you can buy online : http://www.booktopia...1557882646.html

Ive never used this company before i just searched the web and this came up!
