Hey, just wondering if anyones seen any toranas in movies?

In 'Metal Skin' (mid 90's aussie flick) there was a sweeeet red LH/X? Number plate SEXY LH or something.

Also in mad max 2 i reckon i once noticed a stuffed lc/lj, missing panels etc..

I havent seen it but its got some Hunter Valley Torana Club cars in it i think.

ive seen that movie too, years and years ago.
theres an slr5000 in "the fj holden", when theyre at the brickies and the cops rock up and start fining/defecting people.

Haven't seen any in movies although totally unintentional two books I have read had Torana's in them. ''Deadly Unna?'' had some Torana 'whizzing' past lol and some other aussie novel... top stuff

A 4 cylinder LC/LJ gets wiped out in "Running on Empty" towards the end of the movie.

There is also a Torana in the movie "Midnight Spares" but you only get a glimpse of it.

In an old 80s Hong Kong low budget martial arts film my dad brang home years back there was a Black LH sedan with flames on it, no bonnet and a big chrome engine that got into a chase with a silver charger, the film was filmed half in hong kong and the other half in NZ.

Iv been looking for a copy of it for years but have had no luck, i think its Aussie tittle was "Mad Mission".

New Series James? What is it called?

I know in the Blue Murder production that was on ABC a few years ago (details life and times of Rogerson, Neddy Smith et al) there was a Chamois LX Sedan that got wiped out. Was towards the start of the movie and the car was used as a get away car for a bank job or something.

EDIT - Just watched the youtube above. Classic stuff !! The engine note seemed a bit wierd though?

It is Blue Murder and it was a light coloured Torana, thought it was a UC at a quick glance.

When the car crashes into the kitchen in the restuarant, correct me if I am wrong but it looks like a TE Cortina was used...

The only Manderins i know are the small round friut and my old manderin SLR lol.

Not fussed about a copy know i only wanted it for the torana scene and thanks to youtube i now have it..

THANKYOU JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been searching for a copy of that vhs or dvd for a few years now just to see that scene, but wasn't sure of the movie title. F*&%, I love youtube.
