Hi all
With Winter almost out of the way, I reckon it's a good time to finally have a run. Baring poor weather or a mechanical issue, I'll be at WISD this coming Wed night 27 Aug. Is anyone planning to head along? If so, come and say hi - I'll be the one trying to punt 2TOUGH down the road in a half respectable fashion. No laughing at my skids/launches please, it's been over 10 years so I'm lacking practice. :driving:
Cheers H

Dad and I are itching for a run, we had plans of going about 6 weeks ago, but the weather wasnt in our favour.
Will have to get back to you on this one, would love to go out, but its 5 days before the Torailer is due, so it all depends on my progress on the portfolio side.
You should get on to Tiny about a WSID gmh-torana night, so we can have our own lane.

I know what you mean Keith, I half thought about leaving it until after Toranafest, then i thought stuff it! :D

Yeah Moot, Dave's pedaling didn't do any harm, and I may as well get some value out of the Mickey Thompson's :spoton:

No worries Mitch. A gmh-torana night, how good would that be!

It was tops last year, even though I was in a sling after a shoulder reconstruction and couldnt have a run, it was great meeting new people and dad ran his monaro.
Normally occurs annually, and its just about been a year I would think. If we do head out, it would be a great night, been waiting for a run for sooo long.

As i said before Harve ill be there spectating and ill come say gday, also rather than a gmh torana lane why not hire the track for 40 or 50 cars one weekend , we all pay around $200 each but you will be able to run all day , might even have to head out for fuel then come back :)

I dont know if the 2 forums get along but for those looking to attend a private track hire the www.V8owners.com site has one coming up on the 12 of October. Head on over and check out the drag section for relevant details. They currently have the date set but are looking for people to put their hands up for the day. Its usually packed with 50 cars and they are a great laid back bunch :)

^Sounds good to me, I am interested in a drag day.

Good luck HRV74, no pressure mate, just go and have some fun. When you get called up to stage you are too busy concentrating to worry about who is watching.

I'm confused... Harve are you still heading out next week? Or are you gonna wait till something is organised? Or will you do both?

Fair enough :) Seems like a fair amount of interest around GMH Torana drag day , think i may have to do some work to my car instead of driving it all the time

There are several track photographers that will sell you pics.

I may be able to get there this week (27.8)

Put me down for the track day...need to replace an axle then Im good to go.
Sounds like we should be able to rustle up 40 cars without too many dramas.

Yeah I hope they're wrong too Keith, the forecast is still basically the same, so it's looking 50/50 at this stage.... :driving:
