lol dave i would love to,do that.trouble is i may stay in queensland and not come home :).
i had a whole range of emotions going into the day.ive never had a engine like this, and ive never been on the dyno before.any1 in sydney will know is been really hot down here for the last 2 days, and i was woundering if the heat would affect it.
the motor ran in well.it was fun to see the effects of the rings bedding in.infact the rings bedded in better than the figure he gave.the oil presure was very high,60-80 psi.the oil was very clean when we finished to.im running gulf western oil and its called "comp 50"
2 photos of on the dyno

it was running a 2 1/2 exhaust the dyno.after the session i was told to get a dual 3 inch exhaust, with x pipe.im not to sure if thats going to fit.but i was told it would help the motor.

i never set out to build the fastest 355 stroker around.my engine builder just did 1 with 495hp,in a torrie and it runs 10 second passes.i could have just got him to build that.495hp is to much for a standard floor pan.his is bendind and twisting.and going in for chassis modification.there was no way i was going to do that to my ss.so i wanted something a bit smaller, and streetable.im not building a quater mile car.
this is my basic combo;
308 bored 30 thou stroked to 355.
vn heads.standard valves, but stainless.small porting job around the top of the valves.think they call this the turns ?
tourque power dual plane manifold.no spacer
750 holley hp
cam was a crane compucam 304 with 236 at 50,on both exhaust and inlet. 110 lobe separation.lift was .520,but with 1.65 ratio roller rockers is a bit more(the cam is hydrolic)
ice 2 step ignition system
pacemaker 1 5/8 extractors
opinions are like arseholes.everybody has 1 :).any1 care to guess what that made on the dyno ?

i cant remember which holes, but when the gearbox is bolted to the motor in the car and you havea stand under the box.bolt a new rubber mount to the member and bolt the member to the box.then just use the holes that line up.

Hi ASS308, I like your paint job on your dash. I am going to paint mine and I wish to know what steps were taken in preparation and paint processes. Also I have purchased a can of Portland Grey as this seams to be the paint code most people recommend, however my test pray is grey when compared to yours. Did you use the same paint name/code. Thanks John

I saw this car the other day when I picked up the washer bottle. This car looks fantastic!
The pin-striping along the side is a great little touch, and the detail of some of the products yet to go on the car are fantastic!
It truely is a great looking car Chris! Can't wait to see it with the new engine in and up at Toranafest!
