Heyden: Arent you supposed to coat the copper gaskets with some kind of sealer? I think it might be a spray on that you coat the gaskets with to help them seal!?

I Cant remeber, it's been so long since i worked on anything with copper gaskets!

Hayden, was it Hollimar sealant your supposed to use on the copper gaskets???

Think autobarn sells it, its an ACL product....

That said, HOLY ASS END BATMAN!!!

With that tractor diff you will be able to run a Holley without fear of the diff dropping out.

Cheers.

DJ,
yes have just got back from there just started it and no water leaks like before and yes holimar was in a small spray can did the job.

yeah the diff should be able to harness a fair amount of power one would imagine hehe.

just an update the axles have been delayed so the old ford diff has been refitted for next weeks nostalgias meet and the flat top was alittle wounded after the 10.03 run it had one insert loose, valves hitting head on one side and still had comp gasses leaking into water so have finaly got one head back from local machine shop they cnc'd the o'ring groove on the heads have only got one the other will be picked up monday but im just painting this one as it is the replacement for the damaged one.
heres a pic with o'ring installed

Very nice drag lc,

No wonder the lc is on the back burner this looks like a lot of work put very enjoyable at the same time.

Keep the updates coming on the car i think the times will come down a bit more yet especially once you get in it,

You and your dad could paint it yellow and race as a team ?Posted Image sorry thats right its a ford oh well the thought was there.

Good luck when the old man goes away.

Were the motor is you dont have any trouble with the wheels coming off the ground,

the car Looks great and a great way to go drag racing.

I want to build one and but a six in it,cheaper way to go racing . just looking for some plans

if u would like some proper pics of this chassis let me know we built it from scratch.

yes the wheels do come off the ground when using t/brake on a sticky track im yet to have it lift the wheels up any great height yet though. then again the engine is very very heavy with all the fruit on it.

dad is going to change the front end on it this year to get away from the bump steer that it gets atm.

we went to a club day yesty and i almost ran a nine in it 10.03 @ 132mph so i am getting better.

Tiny, yes your right.

Cheers hayden

That would be great hayden,

getting some help from trent but some extra photos would be good.

Just throwing a few ideas around at the moment but have to be carfull not to get devorsed.

Did you use crome moly,or can you go to some other carbon alloy im not sure of the regulations involved

in drag racing.

regards brock
