Blue flames on blue with an orange pinstripe seperating the two.

Hes got plenty of time for the J and the more he hones his skills on other small projects the better the Jwill be in the end.

Matt, the LJ can wait... If I start working on the Torry again now, Juggernaut will never be finished and I'll just have a rusty old bike frame sitting out the back... And yeah, my metalwork skills have increased shitloads in the couple of weeks that I've been building the bike :D

Must be update o'clock :D

Today's job was to move the crank forward more, to make it more comfortable to ride. This is what I ended up with :spoton:

First step was to bend a length of water pipe to the same curve as the two 'prongs' the run down the middle of the frame:

Posted Image

Then I cut a bit out of the frame, cut away the original crank piece and tacked it in, adding a support from the top, following the same curve.

Posted Image

Then I mocked it up with the crank and back wheel to see how it looks:

Posted Image

Then filled the gap at the back in:

Posted Image

I reckon it looks pretty cool :D Tomorrow I've gotta modify the forks so I can pedal and turn at the same time :P and start cleaning it up, ready for paint :spoton:

EDIT: Woops, posted the same pic 4 times :P Fixed...

Tim

Cheers Em :D It should be something different, that's for sure.

Tomorrow's job is to build a new set of forks, because the pedals hit the front wheel now :P

Maybe you could make one of the plates insulated and have a hidden compartment for beer.

My little effort so far.

Posted Image

Still got a bit of work to do on the frame and then the wheelie bars for the back. Going to weld a circular saw blade to the front axle to make it look tough as well. A bit of work to do but noe Im on holidays I will have some time. Looking forward to more updates Tim. :spoton:

Good to see I am not the only one who has considered matching thier bike to their car. Love the GT stripes why-psi !!

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt one of the features of Mongoose bikes a TIG welded frame?
