Hang on....
Question...because I just saw one..

VB-VK with 4w disc usually
VL turbo and V8
VN-VR all V8 and alot with FE2 suspension
As Datto says...

Plus the late LX and UC ones look the same...

Whats to stop you just using one of these ^^^..if you have one...and bolting on the Commodore/Ford master cyliinder that suits 4 wheel disc brakes?...and flicking the prop valve??

Or did I miss something??

Commodore/Ford masters are diagonal bolt pattern
Early Holdens are horizontal

if it was that easy don't you think I would have told you ?

Hmm seems none of the wreckers in toowoomba have any v8 boosters. Are they a hard item to come by?

Ok let me lay this out simple for you

Don't ask for a V8 booster
Just get a fat double diaphragm commy one
It doesn't care what car it came out of
They are all essentially the same from VB-VR (Not VS)

And no late UC although it had the angled front cover and ADR style master cylinder it was only a single diaphragm

Guys... seriously... nothing bolts straight in to do what you want.... theres adaption needed
Theres lots of ways to do it... but it might cost you some money

Boy.....I thougfht there was enough info on the first page of this thread to complete the mod.

The one thing I have noticed is that if you go with twin spot calipers on the front (and are using a D-Dia comm booster with 1 inch master) your pedal travel is noticably longer. At least 1 inch.

Last comm booster I bought second hand (with 1 inch master attached) cost me less than $100 from the local wrecker

OK..Sorted some stuff out.
1. The Commodore booster bracket is 75mm at the top and 80mm at the bottom...tilting it upwards when fitted to the Commodore. You need to space it off the firewall on the bottom when fitting to the Torana.
2. This makes a difference to where the rod eyelet sits on the pin.
3. My LX has an LH brake pedal in it.
4. From eye to eye mounting/bolt hole to centre of pin is 55mm on LH pedal and 65mm on later LX...and possibly UC.
5. I have 2 one inch m/cs from VN V8 Commodores, now for the cut and shut on the rods back from 195mm to 138mm to centre of rod eyelet and we are away.

Read it off the end of the cylinder

Yes it will suit disc rear.... but its not actually relevant anyway
Since a Torana weighs differently and has different sized rear brakes to a Falcon

Show me a formula that can calculate the desired pressure for a car and I'll start to believe it matters to people like us

You probably use a bias valve on the back that you adjust anyway don't you ?

The 15/16" shows C3.1....and the 1" shows C2.4
I am guessing this is in mega/neutonmeters/sq M and would equal 350psi and 450psi.....but I could be wrong.

Yes I canverify by looking at picks of my old VR with ABS that there is only one outlet for the front brakes.
Having said that there also an internal difference in the secondary pistion with the inclusion of a centre valve on the ABS Mcyl.

Also note you shouldnt use a Mcyl of a UTE either becuase the prop valve component of the combo Mcyl is different and doesnt have a seal block thus not providing any proportioning. This is handled by the load sensing hydrolic valve attached to the rear suspension in a UTE. It mechanically senses weight being hauled by ride height and adjusts valve to apply appropriate pressure to rear brakes.
