Anyone near Bushfires ?

Yesterday there was not much smoke at all so they must have got it mostly under control, but today, with 40+ temp and strong wind, the whole sky is covered with smoke at my place, and I live 25-30 km's away.
I took these photos a couple of hours ago, the smoke is much thicker now, the smell of smoke is really strong and I even have black embers all over the yard.
I'm in no danger but there are a lot of farms and small communities that probably are. If anyone hear is a firefighter, or any other emergency worker or volunteer, I just want to applaud you and say thanks for your work. I wouldn't be keen to be out fighting a blaze on a day like this.
