I was at Pukekohe on Sunday for the Tasman Revival Series. The sight and sound of having 26 F5000's thunder down the main straight was just amazing, word's can't describe it.

Fark yeah it is :buttrock: ! You could feel the vibrations of the noise through your body, it was orgasmic. I was stanging a couple of meters away from them blasting down the front straight.

Rogered: I didn't make it to Hampton, I'm kickin myself now. How's the car coming along?

Glad you guys like the pics

Have you spoken to Barry yet Rory? I am curious what he thought of the event from an outsiders perspective.

Kudu,
Just spoke to Barry...his car was in a container of 6......3 blew engines on the first Friday practise due to the fuel guy supplying ethanol based fuel by mistake...he lunched 4 pistons in a brand new dynoed BDA Ford twin cam in the March....they are asking the fuel guy...who has supplied his insurance company details.....nicely for some expenses....but said the F5000s were better than he remembered...and bloody awesome!!especially at Pukakohoe...only problem was in the F2 class the cars were all lumped together..e.g. 1970 up to 1990.....The Swifts just pissed off and smoked everyone ...well you would with a FI Toyota motor in it!!!
But loved it....subject to a few dramas he will be back next year and wants me to go.

F5000 are on again 21-23 and 28-30 Jan at Hampton Downs. This year the race meeting is celebrating Chris Amon. Should be a couple of great weekends espically now that the Central and Northern Muscle Car clubs are racing on the weekend of 28-30 Jan
