I have heard a rumour that Kiwi sheep don't like Aussies anyway, something about Aussies being too bigga pricks.
along the same vane I havfe heard stories that Kangaroos have been seen trying to swim from Australia to New Zealand, apartently they would rather be rooted then shot!

No worries, although when I mentioned it I didn't realise the racing was going to be at Hampton Downs. That's a bit far from my place to the track. I was hoping the racing was at taupo, which is not so far. But I will do some digging for you.
cheers Scott.
P.S. What do you call the captain of a ship taking a boat load of live sheep to Australia?

Just soak up the entry list of cars
There would not have been a grid like this in the old days, possibly anywhere in the world
It will only get better in years to come

the gardos is over here with the co devloper of hampton downs
believe they are working to have it running for the mclaren meetings
on that subject , i here that MS NZ have made them cut max grid numbers to around 30 cars.
ow i think there is some 40odd f5000s in nz without the cars comiing from overseas
so i assume there wil be 2x full grids worth i that class onlone.

I can't wait for next weekend and the opening round at Manfeild. I have heard so much about them over the years it will be great to finally see them. I will be taking a lot of photos and a few clips to share afterwards for those interested.
Here is a bit about the manfeild event......................
The count of NZ-based cars also continues to grow.
Newcomers this year include former ShellSport saloon racer Peter Sundberg from Auckland, well-known classic saloon competitor Warwick Mortimer from Matakana, V8 Sports Sedan racer Brett Willis from Rotorua and former truck and SuperGT racer Calven Bonney from Auckland.
Sundberg has bought the ex Kevin Bartlett and Johnnie Walker 1979 Australian Grand Prix-winning Lola T332 off series regular Stan Redmond and will run it in its original colours.
Mortimer has imported an early Surtees TS5 from the United Kingdom, Willis has just had a Lola T330 fully rebuilt and Bonney has bought the last of the locally-made Beggs, the 018. This was originally driven by Jim Murdoch.
Also in a new car is series stalwart Stan Redmond, preparing a late model T333CS used by Warwick Brown to win the Rothmans International Series in Australia in 1978.
Aucklander Aaron Burson, Dunedin man Steve Ross, young Feilding driver Tim Rush and 2007/08 MSC series champion Chris Hyde are also lining up.
Burson and Ross have both bought McRae GM1s. Burson's car was raced last season by Canadian Jay Esterer while Ross has the car that Christchurch's Chris Hyde used to win the 2007/08 MSC title.
Rush, meantime, is driving the rare McLaren M22 previously campaigned by Aucklander Tony Roberts.
Hyde will also be behind the wheel of a McRae GM1, but this time it is the one series regular Stu Lush from Auckland has been running for the past four years.
