I seen plenty of SNELL M2000 with only AS1698, so I assumed they would NOT be accepted?
From WSID statement above
"The Standards acceptable at this track hire are as follows:
 SNELL SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.2A (US)
 SNELL M2000, M2005, SFI 41.2A (US)
 BS6658-1985
 AS/NZS 1698:2006
 AS/NZS 1698 "
At the time that particular helmet was made , the AS1968 was the only Oz std it had to relate to.
Obviously the M2000 standard is equal or better than the new AS/NZ 1968 standard as it is still an acceptible helmet in ANDRA's eyes.
Because the ANDRA rules changed this year to keep up to date with the latest std for helmets.Standard AS1698 cannot be accepted/ why is this so as many of occasion i have used this helmet in the past & not that long ago.
Happens in industry all the time; you are supposed to comply with the latest AS/NS std.Bets are off on any previous std.
