Compliance date 1/71?

Trim combination 1809 = Electra Blue & Black, Gold or Sandalwood trim.

Found it in the warranty service records.

H183073 completed on 28/01/1971.

Sold 2/71 by dealer 476 in Zone 2 NSW

I suppose Ben should require proof that the tags are still attached to a car before providing a Production Report?

Ben won't issue a report unless ALL numbers are provided match exactly the production records. And the report is issued for the original vehicle as it was born by GMH, not how it was delivered by the dealer or as it is modified over the years or as it is today. It is in essence the Birth Certificate.

For the search engine:

(Pretty sure the correct chassis number should be) ALH020378M

VIN: 8D69TE J449604H

Body No: 449604M

Are you sure that compliance date was 5/74, that chassis number should be a few months later than that?

Plus the VIN has a MY75 suffix "E" so the build date should be September '74 onward?

I wonder why he covered the ENG/TRANS/DIFF part of the body plate?

These are for sale on Ebay. I can't put up a link but just search for XU1 tags. They are for a VIN and BODY tags but not off the same vehicle, $3000.

The VIN has been listed in this thread before in a post by Skap in 2009 (just search the VIN number in this thread), listed for sale with an Adelaide body tag 793-A and 1832-40X.
