Cheers Andrew.

Ok Torana guys and girls.... what are your honest thoughts on this..... on the weekend I finally painted up a spare grill and headlights that I've had lying around for a couple of years. The grill has the chrome strip on it (my current grill is just plain), and the headlight surrounds have the original aluminium outer (unlike my current ones which I painted black 12 years ago when the car was built).

Good or bad? I'm kinda sitting on the fence, but I think I prefer the new look. Might just need to gloss up the headlight surrounds though (I only had satin black paint on the shelf)....

A few weeks ago I also finally fitted up some chassis hole plugs in the engine bay....

After is nice. Chrome matches the bumpers.

Definitely better and I like the satin black too, although it might be hard to keep it looking that way

Looks heaps better!

The old look was very 80s/90s IMO.

the new look is pretty timeless.

Looks alot better now.
Mostly due to the chevy badge being gone.

Good to see it running again Brett and the new look on the front end is much better :spoton:

Make sure you get some video footage on the dyno

Thanks everyone, that's some pretty over-whelming feedback in favour of the new look, haha.

Yes, I've retired the Chev badge, it can sit on the shelf, and give me an excuse to buy a Chev project car one day :)

I'm glad a few people said it, as I was trying to achieve the traditional/timeless Torana look. I love the shape of the LH/LX front, and I think the chrome surrounds match nicely now.

No idea when I'm going to get some dyno time, but I will definitely try to get some video footage, bring it on!

After shot looks better for sure! i didn't mind the chev badge though..i know people consider it a bit wanky but honestly i only ever think that when i see one on a bombodoor..in the old days you'd see em on lots of old holdens fitted with chevs.

I like em both mate. The old look gave the car a bit more of a unique personality though.

Nice shot of the engine bay BTW.

Originality seems to be the go these days and it looks much more 'factory' with new look.
And you know what you've got under your right foot, no need to advertise it.......

Yep as above, LXCHEV is very high on my list of favorite box toranas, #2 actually!!

Theres just something about the car, i dont know what.

I do prefer the new look though.....But i would let you put the chev badge back on....It kinda defined your car...

Cheers.

Hahaha damn Commonwhores :)

Loving all this feedback guys. At the moment, I'm also really loving the new look front. If I get bored, I will play with it some more. Just need to go racing first, and see if it's slowed me up or not ;)
