If it is the real deal it's definitely worth having.
1150 is silver mink, and 110X is black vinyl.
A silver mink with black trim GTS 327 - worth more than any Torana except maybe line ball with an A9X or a '73 Bathurst XU-1.
I've got Sydney build 366 recorded, so look for a firewall chassis number close to HK50000SS. VIN should be close to 81837KH561000 (skinny tag on the cowl). It'll be a type 2 GTS327 meaning it should (or would have) had a Canadian 327 with long nose water pump and high mount alternator. I might even have it's original engine in my shed as the one I have is awful close to being right for that build number.
I've attached photos of the Saginaw hump and the 10 bolt hump. Plus another showing the big tank breather hole. Saginaw hump is the odd looking pressing forward of the shifter hole on the passenger's side of the transmission tunnel. 10 bolt hump is along the front edge of where the fuel tank bolts in. Vapour hole is the one with the pipe running through it. There are also brackets attached to the RH chassis rail in the boot for the 6" rims. Radius rod bracket holes are on the leading edge of the rear inner guard (3 x holes per side), unless it has the brackets there already.
The photo showing the firewall shows you 2 things. Firstly you can see the chassis number location, just above the angled slot over to the right of the photo. Secondly the V8 HK speedo cable hole which is the one just above the diff yoke in the photo. This hole is holesawed, not pressed like the others.

HK Monaro ID please!!

The one in my photo is a HT GTS350 from Pagewood. Genuine original car, just had all it's running gear and other good stuff removed many years ago to go onto a van. All the van crap (including the banjo) ended up back in the car which is how I found it. Photo is intended only to show the hump. Not sure about the brake line bracket. I'll look at my 2 x GTS 327's. One is Pagewood, the other Acacia Ridge. Both 1968 (US engine).
Thanks Yel that confirms my understanding. 10 Bolt HKs I have seen have the rear brake line bracket on the left of the tunnel and Banjos have it on the right in a different position entirely - and 10 bolt cars do not have a bracket in the banjo position and vice versa. Don't know about HT/Gs.

The day that I went to look at this car with the owner(who had started working with us) was the last day I or anyone from work have seen him.
He abandoned his job, left his tools and refuses to answer his phone.I have been to his house and spoken to his girlfriend, but he is always"out" and never calls back(including work who have called him many times)
I dont really know his situation, but whatever it is, I suspect that there is no way I will obtain this car.
Damn shame really.I hope it doesn't disappear from the face of the globe.
I will,however,stay on the case.

As others have also told you 08 is V8 GTS in HT and HG, 37 is coupe. The 8 up front just means GMH so you normally leave it off eg 0737, 0837, 1837 etc although many people still call them 81837 etc (which is also correct).
Saginaw is the standard box in a HT or HG 0837 except if 307 specified in HT then Powerglide was standard. Powerglide and trimatic optional on 253 and 308 in HT and HG except in early HT (when 307 still around) where you could only get a manual behind 253. Saginaw hump is only there when Saginaw specified except on South African Monaro GTS and Chev SS where they all got the hump.

Gather up his tools give it a few weeks and if you dont hear from him take his tools out to him, along with a fat cheque with the amount you are prepared to pay. Make sure his missus see's it.
If he bites , he bites, if not, put him in the basket of idiots i have known and walk away -- slip him AND his missus your phone number before you go -- she will work on him.
The guy who offered 10g -- even fruitloops know when there getting scruffed
These clowns will do your head in -- have been there before.
Cheers D
(and good luck)
