Yeah i have tried to look but all of it is just babyback bullshight ......but maybe i havent tried lookin hard enough......but if anyone can tell me a site for SA Roads or etc....then please tell me ..................cheersReckon SA Police would get you for the timber steering wheel, the exhaust is a maybe, last I can remember was that it has to exit past the last opening to the cabin. The drop tank could go either way. Surely the STA should have a website with this info somewhere.

I find if you go over it an try fix all the little stuff (wheel bearings, interior light, ect)
but leave them something to find (missing brake pedal rubber?)
I rocked up for a blue slip with my Poo Brown EH, primer grey racing stripes, fox tail, the lot...I could see the grin as it rolled into the workshop...he thought it would be easy....he had to look for ages to find something..in the end he decided it had an oil leak and a loose wheel bearing...leak degreased and bearing adjusted while on the hoist and I was away.

My 1st LX Hatch was defected in Melb, the missus was driving it.dont forget the best defect of all... threads hanging from the seatbelts!!!
They pulled her over, asked her to show hi & low beam, "no" hi beam so he wrote that, on the canary (Unroadworthy sticker colour yellow in Vic) & nothing else.
Probably thought it was his lucky day for easy work.
20 min's i later went to Vic Roads screeming blue murder, that the plod had no idea what he was doing, "Der" you must have ign on, to work hi & lo in an LX. (And beetles)
Guy said my wife should know about it, like yeah, hows it go key, petrol, works!
Anyway took 3 months but he got the canary removed without an inspection.
They can put what they want, but it is a legal document that must be correct also!
Saved a few buck's that day!

1. LHF indicator not working (cleaned dirt out when i got home)
2. No Brake Pedal Rubber (in glovebox, back on in 30 seconds)
3. No RHR Brake Light (popped light back in holder)
4. Guage Holder Dangerous (how the f^%# is a thin piece of curved metal dangerous in an accident, i'd be a little more worried about the rest of the car)
But it wasn't my day cop had to get his quota up for the day. Traffic cops....what more can you say. There is a traffic cop down here who's road car blows smoke and is a shitter, waiting for the day that gets a defect notice.
Really it depends on the cop on the day.

you are aloud to have a dumper but it has to be a certain distance from the wheel arch all the rules vary from state to state so check up with who ever does all the road traffic stuff
