Hey all.
As most of you know (cause I've been counting down in the shoutbox) I bought a 1980 UC Sunbird sedan for $795 a couple of weeks ago. It was located in Bendigo and would need to be towed so our friend offered to tow it for us down to Warrnambool. Yesterday it arrived around 9PM. I got some pics of it on the trailer and such. We haven't unloaded it yet, as it was too dark last night. It's got a starfire, and manual 4 speed. Hasn't got a lot of rust - wooop!
The engine is quite smokey and the seller took the battery out. It has no carpet and needs 1 doortrim. And extra bonus: For $35 we got 2 spare headlights and a front panel. Posted Image

Mum spotted a weld in the front bumper. Anyway, here are some pics, will get some better ones when we unload today.

Today, Im gonna wash it and I have a GMH sticker, will put that on, probably about all for today. Posted Image

I'll get a pic of the interior as well, I couldn't really get one last night, or maybe I was too hypo and forgot.. anyway.

Do you realise the SS hubcaps are worth more than what the car cost?

They look like pretty good set too, nice pickup :spoton:

Yep agree 100%, I think they are nice hubcaps but don't suit Tori's car. Could definately get some other goodies for the amount you'd sell them for

Thanks all. Yeah Mum said something about the ss wheels being worth a lot. Today I haven't been able to clean it but I got it started (put a battery in.) We noticed that the right lowbeam headlight doesn't work and indicator light on dash doesn't flash. Stop tail lights on both sides don't work. FM radio works :spoton:

The battery lead had a dirty earth connection to the engine block, so we cleaned that.
And we discovered some air horns!

That looks like great first car. My first car was also a 4 door UC until I killed a year later and bought the hatch (current car)

No burnouts .. not yet anyway! LOL And Matt and Billy, that's the weld Mum spotted. Yeah Blake I guess I was a bit.. hypo.. annoying maybe? LOL

Well, with the rest of the day me and Dad found two globes and fixed the tail lights. We also fixed the headlight, turned out the globe wasn't blown, it was dirty or something, so cleaned it with a test light or something. Here's some pics of the headlights and tailights:
