cheers for that , leo reckons that was a car he designed for max wilson's wife , hence the softer colour interior. he did a total of three cars for max which were predominately in brown tonings and as he described them 'basically a 2 door caprice '
yes the paint code is so close and the colour is remarkably similar to the LE monaros !

Hey might be able to help go to www.flickr.com and type in "torana" in the search box.There will be bucket loads of photos to look at but in pacticular you are looking for photos uploaded by a guy named peteraus53.When you find him browse thru his photoset and i am pretty sure he has photos on there from the melbourne motor show.give it a try you might get lucky or if not you might be able to contact him cheers

Agree about the old Aquaplanes. However, the car in the second photo has crossply tyres on it. Which weren't much better.

show , the '72 adelaide hot rod show ( i have 20 in colour i took but not of what i am looking for !) and pics of the '73 melb. motor show.
