HQ monaro 567-1155-91-2A appears similar to the LE monaro color...
gtr xu1 torana 568-1155-113-1A in the for sale advertisements appears to be darker maroon..
The HT premier at first glance appears to be Daytona Bronze but on closer inspection it is very
different...cheers

These will be variations of future colours. If it was the favourite choice of a bunch of similar colours it would be the one that ended up in the next range. You'll probably find that those 2 x 1155 colours probably won't be from the same styling clinic, it will most likely be the next number that designates the shade. You can see evidence of this as one is metallic and the other is solid.

Melbourne Motor Show 1970
Ta Dave
FWIW, if it's Melbourne, I think that might be 1971. The Melbourne motor show was held in March, and they are HG's, which were released in late July/early August 1970.

Yel327 I discussed this very issue with Leo Pruneau yesterday. I have now got some homework
I've been talking with BS about it a bit recently as we've found a few other styling clinic cars, from HQ 437 coupes to HX L31 Premiers. I have some photos of the Premier to show Leo in a few weeks, I think it is a styling clinic car for Cortez red or possibly the HZ SL/E metallic burgundy.

So I will never admit it, and thankfully no photograpic evidence will ever appear (cause I burnt the lot - LOL)
Just got to burn the last of the crushed velvet and I am clean.

I think I know the HX L31 Prem you are talking about. I work with the bloke who owns it. He was thinking of changing the colour until he spoke to someone who stated that it was a special colour (has SPEC on tag)

The paint code listed for the XU1 is not a burgundy or maroon colour , it is a colour that never made it into production and is shared with a HQ monaro which was built as a show car , ( see the paint section ) .
The code was shared on 2 vehicles because they were the first of each model to have this shade of paint , one built adelaide and one built in dandenong.
Or you could just read Norm's new book .
