Just got a Reply from John Henman regarding the swap sites:

Hi Robert,

Probably not; but only because we already have an existing arrangement at Sydney Dragway for Swap Meets. Although I can appreciate the timeliness of the idea, I would recommend they set up their stall during the next coming Swap Meet which is scheduled for Sunday, July 18.

Kind Regards,

John Henman

Thats fair enough, especially since we are all known to eachother anyway, swap meet crowd would only be as big as the people who already look in the forsale etc etc.

Chris, Im looking at leaving our joint at about 6.15, will hit the freeway at like 6.20ish

What time are you heading through?

Im a little confused by the helmet requirements in that FAQ thingo,

Rays helmet that he uses isnt that old, but has the SA95 SFI31.2 labels.

He stil races speedway with it (sprintcars, so heaps more dangerous than the drags) and its still CAMS and NASR accepted.

But im assuming that like all red tape crap that surrounds motorsport, its not acceptable by the ANDRA guys...

Where has everyone else got their helmets from? where was that cheap joint that passed before??

need it ASAP

Chris (Orange) I think the SA95 standards are outdated and therefore no good any more.

Unless its SFI 31.2 A then i dont think it passes.

Unfortunately WSID have to abide by the ANDRA rules as you stated!

Wayne: Sorry mate, I did ask and that was John's reply!

Cheers

Hey there Guys,

I am also new to this site & not quite sure how this track day goes as I did go to a Ford track day with my mate & his LS2 LX Torana & as I was only a spectator & I was under the impression that I as a spectator did not have too be there at the early time which was 9 am for them & I did not arrive there till around 11 am due to my own business commitments.

I have my own business that requires that I am there at the start of the day then once I feel I can leave I do so which is around the 10 am - 11 am mark I would say, so if I would arrive maybe at 11 am at the latest if I did manage to get up would I still be able too spectate? as sometimes I do not even get too make it along to these events so it would be great too know before I drove up that way from the city.

thanks Guys.

Well im sad to say that the day will be -1 torana :RIP:

had a few last minute issues with the purple car, some serious enough to pull the plug

I'll still be coming down to spectate, but we dont have another car to run (are all daily drivers so cant risk breaking anything), so will be forfieting our entry fee.

Im not sure on what the go is, but is it possible to put someone else in our place? I might have someone interested from my corolla buddies that would like to take our place, but is that allowed this late in the game?

Aslong as Tiny says its ok, ive got someone to take our place, just making sure we can still keep 4 spectator tickets. :)

Mr Hatchback:
Arriving later in the day to spectate is no problem at all,

It is best if you can organise with someone beforehand to meet them at the gate to get a ticket or two as required, but if you cant, Just go to the gate and tell them your here for the torana drag day and to ask them to call Tiny down and they will get on to me.

I'm sure there will be some spare spectator passes around so it shouldnt be a worry!

Cheers!

Chris: - Just waiting to hear from him about changing driver.

Cheers
