Confirmed racers:
1)253ToranaSS - Matt - LX Hatch 290 stroker
2)WILDUC - Maddy - UC Hatch 202
3)gtrtorana - Daniel - 202 LJ coupe

Still have to see if one of my mates is interested. He has a blown 202 LX hatch and I am pretty sure he will be up for it.

This soundsa like a silly question, and plese excuse my stupity,
we recently bought a VN to learn to drive a manual in, but by then it'll turn into something we can just muck around in, could I drive the car?
Or do I need a cams licence and am to young? I thought there would be a chance? lol. Even though the VN is stock it'll be our thrash car lol.

As far as the forum drag day is concerned, ALL cars are welcome!

THey need to have a minimum level of safety equipment, which at heathcote means:

No oil or fluid leaks or drips
Preferably a tailshaft loop but not essential
A radiator overflow can or bottle ( a coke bottle on the overflow was enough for the AU to be able to race!!)
Seatbelts - in other words.... road worthy.

You dont need any special licence and as long as you have a drivers licence then i belive you can race!!

Come along!!

Wow, I haven't checked this thread for so long, it just took me about half an hour to catch up. I'm glad you guys didn't decide to go for Easter weekend - cos even though not many people would be affected because of the EH Club All-State, I'm sure some would be from Easternats - Stedz for example is one off the top of my head. I'll be at the EH All-State too.

Anyway.... good stuff getting a date locked in. Before I ad my name to the list, I just need to triple check some dates and stuff. We're also planning another drag day at Heathcote at the moment for Eastside Cruisers.. but I think the gap between the 2 dates could still work well. I'd love to get LXCHEV up there for some passes, see if I can run a new P.B! Stay tuned... but who else is keen?

I caught up with MRSLR at Brocky's Big Day Out - he is hell keen to race his white monster that a lot of you would have seen at our Melbourne photo-shoot - and I believe he would be bringing some mates too.

I am predicting this day could be HUGE... heaps bigger than last year I reckon!

So go on people - get keen!

Anyone know what the deal is with CAMS liscences or Learner Permits at an event like this? Sorry for being a pain guys, lol.

Defintiely right... No CAMS licences needed and you wont need an ANDRA licence till your car runs <11.99.

Heathcote may need something else, but check with them!
I'd say a drivers licence would be fine, and my brother has raced ( at eastern creek) way back when he was on his Ps.. No drama!

Cheers

Tiny, you know I'm only 16.

I thought the CAMS Speed liscences were what you used for drag racing. D'OH!

Yeah i know Heath, thats why i said that i KNOW P plates are ok, but i dont know how heathcote handles un-licneced drivers... Best give them a call or email.

CAMS have nothing to do with drag racing ( thankfully). It's ANDRA that we've gotto abide by.

Cheers
