Yeah they will be, but Opening morning is a 20 odd year tradition for me that I will not give up.(keen hunters will understand)
I may be lucky as sometime it is a week earlier depending on breeding etc.

We also go away for the three days so depending on wher I am it mat be too far from heathcote anyway

Trying to have my cake and eat it too!

Ive changed the title.. and added a poll.

I still (more than likely) wont be able to make it... but dont count your ducks before they hatch :P

Firstly.. Let's contact Heathcote park - Speak with Joanne and tell her with teh torana forums again and IS that day available and could we be "pencilled" in.

THEN lets make sure we have the support of the members.. because again.. if no one turns up.. it makes US look bad!
Lets see if the day is free first.. and go from there!

Chia: I understand mate.. Unfortunately i've never been out to the lakes but i can understand the tradition! Maybe you can slip away for an afternoon's racing and get back in time for the next day's bag limit :P

CHeers!

Chia, there are a few places around Heathcote you could go, my mothers family were from near the dragstrip (ever heard of Toolleen!? ) and they are all keen shooters :shoot:

macca:

we have shot the campaspe river at Elmore before and may be heading there if there is a season.
If so its not that far from Heathcote and I should be able to make it around lunch. As long as I can get my boat towed by someone else as the Torry has no towbar.

Tiny, thats too bad! You have missed out on a great experience especially since NSW has no more duck seasons. Hey if you can make it down to Heathcote, you would be more than welcome to join my hunting group if we do go to Elmore. Nice bunch of blokes aged from 14 to 73 and there is only 7 of us!
Edit: makka sorry bout the spelling of ya name

Heya Chia, THanks for the offer mate! I'll take it into PM so as not to clutter this thread up.

I'll send Joanne an email and see if she replies to us that way!

Cheers.

I don't think I met you, Ferg. You weren't the one with the white GTR with the big Bathurst Globes were you? That's the only white 2-door I can recall...

SO... its over to you guys.. gotto pick another date!
I'll ask how things look for April? I think February would be too soon and too hot up there!

April... that's more like it! Then maybe I can put a welded 3.55:1 in as well, and blow up my motor and/or diff on the burnout pad!

Hey Tiny Bear in mind that there are a few of us going away in easter (eh all state) and wish to catch up with you so april may not be a great time, both financially and timing. May might be the better of the two? Besides the poll last I saw was onyl 1 spectator and 7 drivers... that sounds like a great day for the drivers... Will we have burnout pad?

Cheers

I'm sure we will have the skid pad again if we wanted to.

Ok, so april has the EH all states... THis is the kind of discussion we need to have!

There is absolutely NO HOPE of me coming down in may or june as i'll be in the USofA!

Anyway, if a date can be worked on, i'll discuss it with Joanne and get heathcote organised!

Cheers!

Any chance of finding out what dates are free? Then we can work out when the majority of us can make it.

no accidents this time steve?

Don't Jinks me Matt! :tease:

No my mate is actually in the US now, over there for 12 months working as a mechanic.

I'm happy with April next year... I know the EH thing is on, but i don't think that will quite effect all of us. As long as we can get enough Toranas... maybe invite some Fords to beat :tease: :spoton: Or do it with another forum.

Steve

Oh.. and from my point of view i think it would be good to invite others as well. Maybe we could organise ourselves so that the GMH-T members are easily recognised amongst the others that are invited!

Cheers
