Copied from Misk's original post, and still sitting on a post it note next to my desk :D

Hatch side glass grommets. Part number 8944810920, from Rodeo Space Cab, back then ~$3.50 each.

Darky, if you do get some, please get me 2 sets.

Ok, the part number is 8944 801 920

the 0 & 1 was wrong.

$2.20 at motor traders for a kit per window latch point.

Ouch!!

It's $2.20 per gromet and you need 2 per side. (4 all up)

There was no "kit" as such.

We have had a couple of goes at making this panel in steel with no success we do have a fibreglass one, I am not confident we will be able to make a steel one in the near future

LC LJ lower valance in steel as per original would be great as i can't find one they are all rusted out.
Every Lc Lj that needs to be restored needs one.

Actually i need 2 of them.

this is the hose off the car. It's actually a Commodore one part number is 92003988, suits VB V8. The left end mates up to the thermostat housing, the other end goes to the heater core. The Torana ones actually had another bent in them at the heater core end to go over the distributer better, their part number was 9939207.

We have managed to get the drawings complements of GMH unfortunately they are not that good , a sample would be great if anyone has one, it dose not have to be new but must have the correct shape

do you need a sample or is measurments ok? The othe hose that runs to the pump is available and similar, it just doesn't have the bend round the accellerator bracket

I have all the measurements on the drawing but the drawing is not that good it is more of an inspection drawing than a drawing to manufacture from so I do need a sample

Les, I finally was sent in the Campbellfield area this afternoon. I left the samples with somebody at reception and told them they are bits you requested.

Chopper there is a new battery tray at Campbellfield for you in payment for giving us a sample, you can pick it up from there or we can send it to you. Let me know via a PM

Les,

Bridgestone have just discontinued manufacturing of 265/50R14 and 245/50R14 S-330 Eagers. Is it possible for Rares to purchase the moulds/equipment while it still exists and organise an alternative manufacturer?

I've sent off a letter to Bridgestone to find out the exact status, but is this a possibility?

Hoping the answer is yes, would hate to be running BF Goodrich Radial T/A's, or heaven forbid, ricer rims and rubber band tyres on the old muscle cars (life just won't be the same).

Thanks in advance,

Pat.

We once had a slogan that said we make everything in Rubber for cars except tyres but this could change. Are these the original tyres on older Holdens?

For those models carrying flares, yes, fairly standard sizes. Most tyre companies kept them as their "Street Machine" tyres, but seems that that is not so cool for em anymore. I heard that for the Veteran and Vintage cars they are ordering their small run tyres from small boutique tyre companies in Canada.

Of all the wider tyres, the S-330 was my preference for general all round performance. The thought of having to use Radial T/A's scares me. Is it worth contacting Bridgestone now while the moulds/equipment to produce these sizes still exists, i.e. not having to return to square one?

I'd like to keep my Torrie as a driven piece of history, but as you can imagine, who in their right mind is going to be doing 100km/h on 15 year old hardened tyres?

From the torries I've had, I think to match rolling diameters in low profile tyres (50 series) it goes as follow for LH/LX/UC. Not sure about LC/LJ.

No flares, but mags to fill the guards --> 205/50R14
Flares - fill the guards ---> 245 front 265 rear/50R14's

Standard Torrie Rims are 13's, but not sure on widths. I also understand that these are like rocking horse stuff as well to get.

They are the grained ones....

Also have you looked into Scuff plates for LH/LX Sedans?
