If you have a banjo, a mini spool would be easier to get than a properly operating LSD. I personally will be running a full spool in ther drag car and hopefully Lock Right diffs in all my streeters.

Full spools are designed for drag cars, as they basically only go in a straight line anyway. The Lock right diff is locked by default and unlocks for corners. So it's perfectly suitable and legal for the street.

Liam: I didnt list their good points cause this was a discussion about the street...
But any spool ( mini or full) is designed as a race component, they lock the axle into one solid unit.
Having said that the benefits that come to mind are:
You'll know that if one wheel is to loose traction, then the other wheel will still take power and move the car, you wont get bogged by having one wheel in the air for example.
If your going to do a skid, both wheels will ALWAYS fry or nothing.. No unpredictable burnouts!
and really.. thats about it!
Drive ig given to each wheel no matter what, which is desirable in racing and thats about it!
Thats why i listed the negatives eariler cause there are ALOT of negatives and stresses that any kind of spool places on the driveline!
Cheers.
