Here you go, made mine in 3.5 hours from scratch, just get your head around the geometry and always measure twice and cut once.
Saved myself some money and got enjoyment out of making a slightly difficult part.
Cheers

Nice work. I'm halfway through rebuilding mine at present, the area in the main panel behind required just as much work as the add-on part anyway

Hey Guys I actually just started my first Torie
Not gotten very far but just started finding all the rust, obviously my rad support is gone and I have found this place http://www.retrorods...RADE 010711.pdf
From an other forum member. They have the rad support panels for $280.

Cheers
Nick

Retro Rods are stockists of Rarespares.

If you've got some sheetmetal working gear, I can send you the dimensions you can make 99% of it yourself.

I spoke to the guy at retro rods last week about a radiator support panel, I got the impression he made them himself, they weren't a rare spares item.

Yeah mate Gaven. He sells them to Rarespares and is one of their preferred supplier. He makes all the panels himself with one other apprentice there.

He hand makes those sections.

Be aware that the original box section has a dip in the middle

Saw a bloke fitting up the lower bonnet catch piece and he had to cut 10 odd mm out of the end where it bolts up to the box section
Not sure where the repair section came from but it was flat

Ran a straight edge over an original and yep there was a difference

Gaven showed me his section and told me he put the dip into it.

The ones on Ebay which look like the Rares one all seem to have a slight dip in the them as does the Retro Rods one. Just noticed on the Rares website they have them listed at $150. Think they were $320 before.

Just orded mine to from rares.
Half price for some reason. What I find weird is that it's not on resto rods price list anymore,
Because I was gonna order it from there and it's gone...

Just spoke to rares in Sydney, who was initially very suprised and thought it was a mistake but then confirmed the price was now $150 and he had no idea why.
