I mounted up the Race Pumps stainless fuel line kit and struck a problem with my quest to keep the carby under the bonnet. THe reg goes too close to the heads with the -8 90 degree fitting on it. I think I will run a 1" spacer and practice for the 540. 3" cowl scoop is going to happen.
I have a problem with the starter motor I borrowed hitting the camaro pipes I have:
I bought a set of HQ pipes. I pick em up tomorrow.
I bought a ridiculously large battery from VPW. Only $250 ish
And a ridiculously big radiator from Aussie Desert Coolers:

Different inlet manifold perhaps? Don't want to give the game away with a cowl scoop?
+1 for keeping it all hidden

I'm going against the trend here... and voting for cowl scoop and rims Maybe Weld Pro Stars, they would look ace with that body and colour.

Thanks mate.
The beauty of a car like this, is it can be converted from sleeper to hotty in a matter of moments with a wheel and bonnet change.

any way of making those chassis's more rigid?
Some people put the WB RTS braces in them. I have been chatting to the engineer, and he didn't mention any extra bracing, so long as I run a 454 with alloy heads to keep the weight down.

I thought you could box the rails also but not sure if the engineer would ok that

Looks just like factory. Then a custom flat firewall would be nice
I have made a simple little rule with this car build....."No custom welding or grinding". I dont want to modify the factory metal. I did all that on my last build and I wasted heaps of time doing it, and regretted it in the end. This car will not be a show car, more like a cruise night car. Neat and tidy, but aimed more at driving the wheels off it.
