Yeah or 2inches and then it can be safely trimmed to the correct length. I really honestly hope I dont have to wait months for this to be fixed up...

Les is away on holidays however David responded to me and has advised there have been inconsistencies with these cables and have now been withdrawn from sale.... Dosnt really help me right now.... I just hope they can get them sorted out sooner rather then later. I mean it just means not cutting the end so short during manufacture.... Surely that cant be to drastic to change????

Wow I not long ago got one of these and was not happy with the look of the handle so was going to use my original center in the rares outer guess now I will have to as the old one will be the correct length in the new outer.

What about the incorrect way the little car drawing was done ? Might as well reproduce it correctly if they are going to go to the effort. (aside from the cable length issue of course)

That is assuming of course I should say, mine is the correct way ?

My thoughts exactly it's not that hard to copy.

No. I dare say they will just be a couple of inches longer. I would imagine RSP would need a 100% original cable on hand to be able to copy from.

Makes sense...just be good to get one long enough to work for the moment at least it sounds like ! (but if they are remaking it in the future, might be something to check into...maybe compare a few original ones, incase mine is unique that is )

Had an update from RSP. A replacement version of this bonnet cable has been shipped from where ever they are made and is on its way. Hopefully it passes RSP QA department checks, and if so, will be available for sale.
