 this was a little while back but forgot to upload, interim work while waiting on my ass in gear getting a sill panel

and thats still in that condition the apron is in now we will come back to that later

current project is the re-skinning of the drivers door

 

skin removed

 

 

 

 

and we are all up to date

please note the awesomely drilled and punched out speaker hole on the above pic

(some people are complete butchers!)

there was also rust pin holes on the outter and ruff on the inner of the bottom corner and in internal bracing so job was done as a full section

couple of little stress cracks that need some love

and this is how mick strengthened  them from the inside

 

couple of spare washers

door was a little banana looking

bit of a straighten up and flick with primer

 

 

 

 

 

then time for the internal bracing to have a tickle up and weld back in

now for that skin i was talking about earlier

 

mick had to do a fair bit of f^*^king around to get all the lines to look great but he got there...so fresh rubber and this is what he come up with

Looking good. Getting into some tricky areas there.

 

Those slotted holes on the doors crack like that heaps. I have to fix mine too.

How is the radius on the top edge of the door?

 

Those look a lot better fit than the one I got.

skin was from rare parts fitted well little bit of adjustment/trim up were the back window framing met the skin but to be expected everywhere else after some persuasion looks great

good onya guys nice to here the pos feedback, ill also pass the pat on to mick as he is doing an outstanding job IMO

yep it needs to be done right (its a torana!)...takes the worry out of unwanted things prematurly popping back up again in the future
