this is from behind (it is a lot cleaner now) after a heap of die grinder work but you get the idea

a little update,

 

me mate mick got stuck into the bonnet hinge area this week and made em look all pretty

 

this is the cut out

thanks for the comments guys, i couldn't be doing this panel work without my mate MICK and he couldn't do it without me- i supply the beer he supplies the panel work. haha

Don't worry about all the pics Jonesy, everybody loves pics and like Aaron said they tell a thousand words so you don't have to type them.

so lads,

mick me mate the legend has been donating a few hours towards the torana for me so here is a few pics

 

all the engine bay has been nicely cleaned up filled and a lick of primer

had some more/better progress pics of this but have missplaced them

as you can see he has also sanded and filled the bottom rad support -see is looking all pretty there now

from here he is moving on to my drivers side rear quarter replacement as it has had a T bone in its past life

 

 

 

 

so he has spent the last couple of days lining up the passenger side to make sure the drivers will look the same

 

the driver requires replacement quarter, sill and minor internal bracing repair

for a moment here it is looking like a car again

yeah i think so too and as for the quarters they come around here and there. new old stock, got a left and a right from one of the forum member years ago

wanted to run with a clean but factoryish look in here -tidy up of the factory grub welds - removed the carbon can bracket but leave factorty holes

just generally cleaner

Looking good mate, I will be watching that rear quarter swap with an eagle eye as it's something I'll have to attack on mine. I stripped it back to find a stretched mess from some budget panel beating in the past. But like you mate, gotta suck it up and slowly work through it. Good luck mate.
