I had a set on a VR commo years ago. I had 255 rear and 225 front. Fitted well. They were 16x8.5 all round.

I thought they still ran chev pattern and will not fit.
Brock magnum would have had corvette type wheels.

Corvette stud pattern changed around 1982, but don't quote me on it.

5x120.65 is Chev/HQ. I think they went to Commodore from about 1982 (5x120) going from a catalogue I saw from a wheel supplier stating the rims they had on special that month would only fit Corvettes from 1982 onwards.

I'm looking for some 83 Corvette wheels if you can find me some

I think you will find the change was at 84 with the intro of the C4
If there is any change at all
Its likely to just be centre hole and offset
According to this site there is no 5x120mm vette

Vettes are 4.75 PCD even the ZR1 runs this PCD. Yanks are still imperial.

As said, they are all the same 5 on 4.75" bolt pattern... Corvette just went with wider and larger diameter wheels as the years went on (and abit deeper back space than the earlier ones from memory

I had actually tried Z06 brake rotors as an option when I was designing the front setup on the Torana..but just not enough rotor height to clear the wheels I use...but still the same Chev bolt pattern on them of course.

Yeah I think the change that everyone is referring to here is when they went to more of a modern offset, later wheels would be somewhere around Commodore offset friendly (but still wrong stud pattern)

would it be much of drama drilling them out to commodore?

Just buy Commodore rims. It can be done, but I wouldn't bother.

The Corvette late model wheels also fit similar year Camaros and Trans-Ams (late 90's -early 2000s)

Not that there are a whole lot of people worried about that in this thread, ha ha...

Wrong, worst case scenario is your wheels will fall off.

Cheers.

Only problem there is, all those tires are racing ones, aside from the first BFG's which are on back order...

BF Goodrich has been back ordering a ton of sizes the past year or so..just when one size comes into stock they seem to back order another. I just bought a bunch of 235/60-15's for example that have been on back order here for more than a year! And soon as they came into stock they back ordered some other 60 series 15" sizes..

I can call my tire guy tomorrow though (Sunday here of course..) and see if I can get ahold of some 255/50-16s in anything or other chime in on them..

Tirerack don't have everything but its just easy to search for any relevant sizes (width/dia). Its getting bloody hard to get a wide range of tyre sizes below 17" diameter. Even what us torana fans call big (17") will end up becoming limited in the available sizes IMO.

Talk about getting old like my cars its even getting hard to find a non Doof-Doof radio station. I am a big fan of oldies radio station's like K-Earth 101 that I listen to when I am over there (or on my PC during the day).
