Hi folks,

I'm looking at getting some coil spring spacers for my LC. I've read in a few very very old posts on here that you can get them from superpro but I cant find them. Can anyone tell me where I can find some cheap ones from

I was in SCA this afternoon and noticed a range of Superpro urethane bushes on the shelf.

WA Suspensions have a good range of SuperPro on the shelf. If they don't have it in stock then it can usually be sent overnight.

WA Suspensions have moved sometime in the last couple of years.

Cheers mate I bought my Sway bar from there a few weeks ago. So If I get these spring insulators will it raise my car up the 18mm it says? Is this the easiest way?

I can get you the bushes if you remind me at work to find a cost

But most shops can anyway
Autoline in Bentley are agents for them... saves going to Osi Park

Sweet cheers Neil. I'm chasing about a 1 to 1 1/2 inch raise all round the car. I don't really know what I need so will the bushes work? Is that the same as the spring spacers?
I'll message you on here Tomoz neil

If you need 1" to 1.5" then you would be better off getting springs made to suit.

Ageed... thats a big lift that won't be achievable with urethane spacers

as said before the biggest spacer you can fit is a 10mm, and that will give you aprox 18-20mm at the wheel, any bigger and the coil will not locate properly in the tower. if you can find the part# under torana look under hq-wb.

18-20mm is close enough to 1 inch for me. Think it will help hesps with my height issues.

called autoline and they said $60 for the 2x front kits as they have to order in from QLD.
WA Suspensions in stock for $48 for the 2x Front kits

Wilkinsons was $37.30 for the 2x Front kits but was another $12 to freight in.

You may find that you can only fit one kit safely.

its 1 kit per side and i think you only get one bush per kit. So which spot do you put it on the top of the spring or under the spring? Apparently on the website I will get 18-20mm lift from the 10mm bush which should help me heaps

I think they go on top of the spring.

I don't see how a 10mm thickness gives you 18mm lift

I'd go with Wilkos... and ask them questions
One of our members works there
And Peter knows what he's doing

The spring ratio is around 0.75 on the LX (I guess the LC is similar) so when the stub axles travels 10 mm the spring is compressed 7.5 mm. The 18 mm ride height increase from a 10 mm spacer still does not sound quite right.

If the spring was mounted at the stub axle then the spring would travel about the same as the stub axle. This ratio is also the reason why the front springs have such a high spring rate (thickness) when compare with the same weight car running struts.

If you want to know how much difference a 10 mm spacer will make then put the car on stands with the load taken on the suspension arm and measure the distance between the control arm and the k-frame at the spring mount. Then lower the control arm 10 mm measuring at the spring mount and compare the height of the tyre.

You can make your own spacers for the rear. The round ones fit between the bottom of the spring & trailing arm, the rectangle one fits on top of the spring, you will have to use longer bolts aswell. I used a piece of conveyer belt scraper & cut it with a hole saw to make the round ones as I didn't have a lathe at the time.

Haha that's exactly what im goin to use. So you had 64mm raise on your rear end? Was it a bit excessive?
