Yes . All LJ XU1 use a VH 324 booster .

This number and the date code are stamped in the same line on the top edge of the booster above the MADE IN AUSTRALIA stamping .

For example - VH324.10.G3

ok the one im looking at has PBR on, and the made in australia, can not find a date on it, there a number on the back 1295n
there a 316 on the rim part but away from the made in australia part and to the left of the made in austalia there 616 then there a 10mm space and there a M5 thats all i can see on it

on the rear where there a rear rubber boot it says VH2011
And on the front looking seal thingy it says VH2015

Looks like there was a small plate that was on there, but not there now

VH316 is a fat Torana booster too

Its not LH

to me it looks like there no build date on it, i sold the original LJ XU-1 Brake Calipers and XU-1 Discs and replaced them with LX V8 Disc and Calipers for betting stopping power, should of kept the original XU1 discs and calipers off it

Hello,
The HK - T boosters had a ss plate on them at the front bottom face, the LC could well have been the same, as both at one period had the same short input shaft.
I have looked iinto the dates a bit and they seem to be in date batches to match the batches of XU-1's that were produced.
By the time the LJ XU-1 was produced I think there was a deviation from the same boosters as the HG as those then had the long input shaft.

As far as I can tell from the example I have all the last batch 1973 Boosters would be 10 G 3 or somewhere close to this date, any changes to this?
Looking at the booster pictured it would seem to confirm this theory, as it is a date match, is it from a Aug or September 73 XU-1 also?

Mike

Maybe the front of the front cover of the booster was changed some time in its life.

A lot of them that i have seen over the years, rust around the the centre, from leaking master cylinders, and lack of maintenance.

Chhers John.
