Just my interpretation of ,

I guess it’s the same as a current HSV, still a commodore isn’t it , All said and done I guess If I dropped 70k plus on a car I wouldn’t associate it with its cheaper option either .

Actually my point was the letters Holden provide are not worth the money they are written on but some people treat them as gospel

On a lot of GMH verification letters it states that SLR5000 came with salisbury diff so one dude bought an A9X floorpan and diff out of a wrecked car welded it into a 76 slr5000 and sold it last year on amc as a prototype A9X. John Shepard when he had monaro motors converted about 16 L34,s with a jig and panels provided by holden. Thats not a fairy tail but was told to me by a friend who was their and did it. This was just before JS took control of HDT

John Sheppard did convert a lot of cars rear floor pans, mostly race cars that's a fact. But those cars will always be converted or upgraded to a9x specs but not officially a9x so to speak . The so called prototype car was discussed on this website when it was for sale. I hope the new owner did their homework

Kinda makes you wonder how many people are out there that own a 77 LX SL/R5000 OR SS5000 thinking that's its an A9X..
