Well... yes it does actually... so it should considering its a track only car...

Runs the same wheel alignment specs as the Group Nc guys (reasonably aggressive) custom wound springs (again, very similar to what most of the Nc/historic guys run) konis all round

210 odd hp at the rear wheels from a relatively cheap 202 build, 48mm webers

doesnt go too bad in a straight line either-

low 14 @ 99mph babying it after a broken axle earlier in the day

aaaaand, just for good measure.... this being me in the pilots seat at wakefield
Posted Image

and FYI, those are definitely sow only wheels, clearance is an issue, but they look awesome... runs fattish hotwires with semislicks for circuit duties.

Fair enough, just looks kinda strange to me. Must be heavy to steer like that?

Dunno I really like the look of the purple LJ(?) with the flares. Looks tough as to me. I had the fronts on my SS with a similar camber and it was heaps light on the steering and when you steered into a corner it was like being catapulted into it. Handled like on rails but yeah wore the inside edge a lot...

Funny how small elements in Torrie design are "each to their own"...I love over riders/ hate UC tail lights/ hated the hatch 4X4!!!!

Definitely each to their own!!!!

I think its the rim offset, makes them stick out from the guards too much. Or maybe its just me (I am building a UC :fool: )
I put some HQ cheviots on a VK skid car once, offset was too wide and made it hard to throw around the snakepit, that's what made me think those front wheels might affect your handing...

The scrub radius does look pretty bad, although the Torana would deal with it a lot better than an early Commodore - they are all over the road if you widen the track too much with the wheel offset

It's different that's for sure. It really accentuates how high the roof is on an LC/LJ. That one would look better with a 2 inch chop in my opinion : )

Ive got a pic of an LC front clip grafted onto an Escort van here somewhere.

It looks as good as it sounds.

But you'll have to wait till I find it coz its only one pic in a massive pile of old vanning magazines.

Hahaha thanks Mort : ) Yeah things are flat out but I'm up at the house this morning waiting for a phone call so thought I'd add some more uglyness to this thread : )

OK people, unless you have an AC cobra or a car from the 30's, cars need roofs. So stop doing this!!!!!

I think this little HB actually has a lift off hardtop, which is pretty cool.

Now a couple of ute fails. I'm not trying to insult anyone. It's just my opinion.

I'm not sure if I like this or not. It has good points, but also has bad ones. You be the judge.

A GTS Commodore Torana, :wtf: , are the rear wheels smaller or just an illusion.

i think the wheels are the same size... i'd be more worried about the ford tail lights. left one doesn't even look like it is installed straight!

Jeez! Why on earth would they think doing that was a good idea? Thats just horrible. And the GTS guard flutes are half covered by the flare. Each to their own...

Nice find Tim!

There's no commodore in this thing. Just ugly ass GTS guards (which look crap on a GTS let alone a torana) and XD/XE falcon tail lights! Yikes!

It certainly makes that EH in the back ground look damn nice!
