I'm not sure if I like this or not. It has good points, but also has bad ones. You be the judge.

I"m 50/50 on this hatch..i really dislike seeing a torana with its roof chopped off though! but thankfully there's probably not too many of those getting around.

There's no commodore in this thing. Just ugly ass GTS guards (which look crap on a GTS let alone a torana) and XD/XE falcon tail lights! Yikes!

It certainly makes that EH in the back ground look damn nice!

Yeh my bad, i mistook the tail lights for Commodore.

Aaaaargh the inhumanity...all this talk of F#*D bits in Toranas reminds me of when tossers thought it was cool to put XB bonnet vents into kingswoods. BLECH!!

(quote)Yeah it had a 302 Cleveland with a fmx auto and a Detroit locker xc falcon diff cut down , it had about 13" rear ventilated discs with stock 10" torana solid fronts .
It is a genuine L20 ss
It was actually quite scary to drive .
It was the most dodgy engineering job I have ever seen , the fuel line was tech screwed to the chassis with with plumbers clamps , coming through a hole on the skirt with no grommet ( metal on metal) , the steering shaft was extended with a piece of solid shaft with no rubber coupling ( just had the one unijoint) , it had a 6 cylinder single diaphragm brake booster , the engine mounts were modified by just welding a couple of washers onto the k frame , the sump was cut to clear the steering rack with a hump in the middle so oil always remained trapped on the other side , the engineer who certified it should have been shot and then pissed on .
Surprisingly it had no rust under where the half hatch lid had been welded to the rear quarters and no rust in the rear beaver or lower rear quarters .
It is now a hardtop again with the 302 / fmx sold ( sold to a buyer who was putting it in a Gemini ) ,it now has a 202 auto as the general intended and is getting the new black / herringbone interior fitted this week .
I have an L34 engine ( it has genuine heads ) ready to bolt in in the next few months .

That would be cool, it's mostly there.
Did all export cars get the LC repeaters in the rear guards or is this LC body, LJ. Front?
At less than $2500 to buy, plus throwing it on a ferry (road trip anyone?) it's almost worth picking up.

Grant..

or the weird firewall (rolls over in each corner more than ours)

the fact is has soo many bits of each model mixed with each other is just bizzare.

Actually, those headlight surrounds are VERY dfferent,

what about the auto shifter inside, whats the go there!

Gday there, I reckon this counts as a fugly Torana! I did this a while back and was too embarrassed to show it in the public arena till now! Dont get too carried away with negative comments as I will only have to agree with you! it s all good! All done in digital artwork!
