what brakes do u have on the front??

edit: clearance is probably improved if you're not running Commodore wheels, Torana/HQ offset means that they don't sit as far over the calipers

i just want the diff on already its taking up room in the shed.
anybody think this is a bad move?? im thinking of running spacer /adaptor at the back and stock torry brakes up front with commy booster and i think ford mc as ive seen datto recommend in another thread..
what you guys reckon??
this way when the funds come in for wheels i can upgrade front brakes to commy, take adaptors off rears and get wheels in commy pattern probably convo pro's..
or big fr simmons if i win the lotto

So spacers would be out of the question anyway

not planning on using vn diff sorry should have been more specific..
i have a 9" with commodore pattern to suit torana, this is where the whole brake conversion issue started.
if adaptors are illegal i might have to roll with chasers untill i buy new wheels.
dont think cops will pick up on adaptors anyway plus cars gonna be driven only when the moon turns blue
so with new 9" info is there any objections in using the vn rear brakes now??

First is that the park brake will not fit not even close due to the bolts holding the axle in being huge compared to the vn ones and are touching the park brake shoes, might just grind the inside, is this ok?
Has anyone else done this conversion and has some pics or helpfull info..
Also trying to put calipers on the front to avoid touching the shocks and can see that the handbrake cable will have to come arond the back somehow is this right or is there a way to make life abit easier

So far its coming along, I grindered some metal off the inside of park brake shoes snd they sit now but bolts are still too big and need to be sorted..
Shouldve stuck with drums

Ive scored myself 15" wheels for a reasonable price but as like always they are h pattern as apposed to me trying to fit commy brakes all this time..
Oh well I guess these things happen.
Now I think ill be following majority and going hq brakes but didnt realise they are in such high demand.
Hoppers just quoted me $1300 for the 290mm kit and said that all the ebay stuff are cheap copies.
Not wanting to spend that figure really..
The other two shops rods and crs said I need drum stub axles that are near extinct atm..
Plus one of those guys quoted me $250 for the bracket that holds the caliper for a commy brake.
Bit steep I reckon.
What I have found and coming to my question is wb brakes..
I know theyre not exactly the same but are they as good as hq??
Should I just wait untill I find a good set of hq or go for the wb?
Also im thinking of getting my rear axles welded and redrilled to h pattern and also drilling hq to blank vn discs since they were abit of a pain
to fit, plus finding hz rears is another drama by the looks of it. Unless wb rear discs are ok?
Any objections, criticism or help is appreciated like always....
If someone has brakes for sale let me know please

With disc off, u can see parkbrake finally sits nice

As u can see in this pic I had to grind off a fair bit of metal to clear the nut n bolt that hokds the axle in.

Now they fit nicely as u can see, but not sure if I have done the right thing

Front view
Sorry its my first time uploading pics so theyre not in order or perfect.
Sooo... What you guys reckon??
Like I said previously the bolts holding axle in is alot bigger then the ones on the vn diff so thats where all this started..
Now if anyone thinks this is dodgy or unroady please let me know asap before I throw it all back together with new discs..
Im in the process of getting my axles pattern changed from commy to hq, then getting blank commy discs and drilling hq holes into them...
Any feedback is aporeciated
Thanks

Since its got Ford flanges on the diff not Holden thats most of your problem
If it picked up on the original holes (Holden) you'd have a bolt on set up

Or should I consider changing flanges to holden??
Also while ive got ur wisdom, is wb front brakes ok or should I continue to hunt for hq?
And what u think of the way im planning my stud pattern on rear? As ive described above
