Whas there any distinguishing features of a standard steel rim to suit SLR and also the SLR hubcaps?

What was the width of the rim?

Is any part of the rim seen once the hubcap goes on? If so, I guess I'll have to do some more painting....

Same rims brad they just need to be 5.5 inch wide. LC - UC will do the job.

What would be a well suited size tyre to fit onto a 13? 205 all round? or 195 up front? No flares fitted.

195/70R13's are EXTREMELY hard to get. They were unavailable new in Australia in 2004. Somebody might be bringing some cheap Chinese/Taiwanese crap.

Is that what the stock size was? I was thinking 205/60/R13?

BR70H13 was stock for an SL/R 5000, 195/70R13 is the metric sizing. 205/60R13 is probably the easiest size tyre to get that would be suitable. Don't think that 205/60R13 and 205/65R13 won't be discontinued. The market share is just too small.

Stock size would be 185/70 in my opinion. 205's are too wide for a 5.5 inch rim in my opinion. Looks like a pregnant wombat.

Hi Brad,

just so you know, the part numbers for the rims are;

13 x 5.50 2813815 Same number for LC/ LJ/ LH/ LX/ UC
The only one that is different in 13 x 5.50 is the LJ XU-1's that had a different part number (2823863).

13 x 6.00 9929130 Same Number for LH/ LX (N/A for UC)
The only one that is different in 13 x 6.00 is the LJ XU-1's that had a different part number (9928167).

cheers
Mick

What should I expect to pay for a old set of 5.5in rims?

Some people virtually give them away. I sold a set of 5 for $50 about 4 years ago.
