30 years or 30 minutes, as long as the wheel stays attached.

Was just thinking they look brand new, so I wonder where these were bought from? They dont look like old originals.

$550 to get 5 rims blasted and powder coated. Found a shop with some 185/70/R13s in stock. However I've had the incorrect valve stems fitted... Had a choice of long or short.... I went short.... Dam... Have to take em back and get the valves changed. F*ck me I'm not having much luck lately....

As you can see..... The valve stems are way to short.

At the toranafest the rare spares retailer had the wheelnut and GTR centrecaps for sale as a package. I will check now. I do have some wheelnuts somewhere...

Oh wow!!! I checked rare spares website and could only find open ended wheel nuts.

I'll have to check the codes on these rims. They are 5.5in wide.

check with restorers hotline in adelaide i think they may do them.original torana ones were listed as being 1in long whereas a9x ones were 1.5 in long but do believe early hq gts nuts were longer even though same part no as lh plastic centre slr trim nuts

Yeah I generally get raped over for most things up this way. That's what happens when there is no competition from other shops. I don't believe they reproduce the SLR hubcaps, so I guess they are genuine.

Yearone confirmed there wheel nuts are 1in long by 3/4 and 7/16 thread. I'll give the restorers hotline a try. It would cost me $100incl freight for 20 nuts from the USA.

Righto, straight from the horses mouth.

Rare Spares part numbers to look out for are WN1001 (individual nut), WN10015 (kit of 5 nuts), and WC1006A (wheel cap set with nuts). Expected to be available sometime after March next year.

Yes, they are shit. I realise you are trying to get the car as close to original as possible, but avoid them like the plague. They are reknown for letting the valve core stay off their seat and simply deflating the tyre when ever they feel like it.

Make sure you use metal valve caps, as they have a rubber seal in them. A tyre will hold pressure better with a metal valve cap and NO valve core rather than the other way round.
