What I don't understand why the secrecy? Its not like anyone is having a dig, people are just genuinely interested in the car and the person, that's all. He made him self available and promised pics etc. What I have read so far no one has been rude, just questioning things because of the strangeness of actions.

... and that this is a forum, where some members like to :stirpot:  and by coincidence some have been banned recently. Sure, we could be jumping to conclusions but we just want to be sure we're not all being taken for a ride as we're genuinely interested in the man and his car.

I feel that what's being forgotten here is that Bill doesn't have to reply to anybody. He has no obligation to do anything about any email he may have received. The cars sold, so why should he?
Probably got more important things to do in his life.

^^^ Spot on. And with questions of integrity raised during this pointless aftermath, think about how this reflects on our forum.

Its none of our business where this car is, or who owns it.  Get over it.
Might not even be registered yet.
So what if if did go to Qld? What does it matter?

^^^ What they said.

Hello all interested parties

I was the original owner of this LJ V8 until a couple of weeks ago when I first posted on this forum.

AT that time my computer started playing up. After 3 returns to a computer repairer the units mother board completely malfunctioned and I lost everything including all my emails. During this period I was contacted by phone by an interested buyer. He flew to Malanda the next day and purchased the vehicle .He specifically requested that I do not post information about the cars mods. or post photos. I apologize to all expecting replies from me. The new owner has told me he will post photos etc. at a later date. I can assure all who posted negativity about my being the genuine owner of this vehicle or how it was sold on this forum can now stop the crap!

If this is true you need to find a new computer repairer.

The motherboard should not affect any of your data, just sayin.

However, I understand that sometimes under warranty the whole machine will be swapped or whatever, it happens.

I've come in late to the recent events so missed most of it but it would be a shame if that is all lost, you should chase it up.

I really hope you are the real Bill Graham, Al has been looking for you for a long time.

I agree and judging that he only has 6 posts, he's probably not even a 52 year old Albert, probably a fake account and he's chimed in to :stirpot:.

A malfunctioning motherboard you dont loose your emails. Your emails are stored in your account on the providers server, bigpond, gmail, hotmail, in your case westnet no matter what happens to your pc, laptop, whatever. Emails can be accessed externally and even now with your pc going tits up...

How were you contacted by phone from a forum member and nekminit hes flown to malanda (which has no airport serviced by commercial operators) and its sold when you never provided a phone number?

Im skeptical and still call bs barry or bill.

He specifically requested that I do not post information about the cars mods. or post photos.

So he's going to register it as a 6 .... or perhaps put in a 6 and try pass it off as an original XU-1?

If legit, something devious is going on for sure.

Perhaps we should put the VIN in this thread:

Fine, if that's what you want to believe then that's your choice.

2010 was the last time that YEK950 was rego in Canberra ACT, as i did a FOI request to ACT RTA on YEK950, and they sent me a Statement of Vehicle Details to YEK950 under FOI Act.

So the XU1 was around in 2010, So after that who knows where it is.

Did the ACT RTA finally get off their lazy backsides and get their microfiche reader repaired hey?

There is this 308 LJ XU1 V8 that was in Canberra in 1974, but due to Canberra RTA dont abide by FOI Request, well more excuses for there Lazyness to go look in there Archives (Oh the Microfiche machine btoke dowm, ummmm Ebay sell old ones i told them and oh the stuff cant be read now, ummmm yeah right)  A Polly might need to kick the ACT RTA Butt and get them inline on the FOI ACT.

As i would of done a FOI Request on this ACT rego number. post-7283-0-49482800-1480491819.jpg

The Real Deal Bills XU1 Torana information from ACT RTA was not from there Microfiche, it was from there Computer Records, as Bills XU1 was rego from the 1970's to 2010  :)
