Toploader=bin.
Super t10's are good but have there weak points.
Want a good shifter use a "long", best H pattern shifter you can find for those early external linkage boxes.
There are some really good bixes out there, people are still hung up on old school stuff.
Jerrico make some good stuff.
Mid valley, g-force south, to name a few.
There is a few companies making good internals for the old muncie boxes too

Most of them have munted V8 ratio's though....

Us six banger boys want a pretty dang short first and a reasoably wide spacing....

So strong enough for a 350 but not strong enuf for a red 6

Wrong ratio's for a six, to tall in first/second....

And yes, a stock 350 makes a bunch less than a hot six banger. 

Dead set Gene get a clue mate.

Tall first and close ratio for me. Can't stand having to change into second just to reach the 60 kph speed limit.

Muncie with an M22Z ratio from AutoGear. 2.99:1 1st gear.

How about a TKO Tremic box, can get them in close ratio with the benefit of the overdrive gear. Rated at 600hp and have the same bolt up paten as a T10/Saginaw. Not sure if weight is a major issue as they are a bit on the heavy side.

They are lighter than the Magnum though... considerably

Was seriously considering the tko, but again gear ratios are unsuitable.
