On the jig, outer sill chopped out
The inner sill isnt too bad, ill have to clean it up.
I removed the entire sill to see what was behind it not that the sill was bad at the rear. The fron of the sill had most of the rust..

Looks like you will be busy for a while! Nice looking Jig!

Is that an aircon compressor I see hanging off the engine?

Is it the factory item with factory brackets? Hows the clearance?

Thanks mate, no it hasnt got an aircon compressor, i think your seeing the altenator.
The jig took a few weekends, i basically got a few ideas off the net and put it together, then i thought it would be nice to put wheels on but i havnt tried them yet, the wheels are rated at 350kg each, they are wind ups which are used on boat trailers, 26 bucks each i think they were from Supercheap.

What kind of welder did you use when replacing the bottom of the guards?

hey Bedford, i just used a MIG welder, but if you look at the jig close enough the welds are pretty shitty as the welder wasnt working properly for a while, even at this point it has problems feeding the wire at times as it sticks, i was told the wire is too thin which is 0.6 and it needs a 0.8 which ill be getting soon, or if i use 0.6 ill need i smaller wire feed tube so it will prevent the wire from kinking then sticking and jamming etc.

:D

Nah the alternator is on the left side. Im talking about the round black pulley looking thing on the right hand side of the engine.

What is it?

Most MIGs, well mine anyways, use 0.9mm wire.

Nice project, you is definitely into it.
