I think it looks great! Really sophisticated! Its the best car ever designed and built in Australia... Got to be proud about that!

Everyone saying 'looks crap' feel free to share a better looking Full-sized sedan....

Here is a shot of the 'VF Sport' front end... Full shots of this will be released next week at Daytona...

Im looking forward to seeing the Wagon & Ute!

When did you take on a role in gmh's advertising department? Lol. Yeah looks ok, but nothing special, probably is the best car ever designed and built in aus, but thats not saying a lot...

please don't call it a p/v or worse a sandman
unless you intend to cut out the rear bulkhead and make it a real one

What Matt' s trying to say is.... " I need my head checked, and I'd rather a commodore over a TORANA"

shame to hear people automatically baggin it........just remember that.. when the Aussie car industry dies in the bum., cause no one likes/buys our cars that were made by people like you and me.

When all we can buy is Korean nd Indian and Chinese cars...people will wonder why..

p.s heard the boss of Holden interviewed this arvo...they are set up to export heaps of SSV s built here in Aus. to USA as Chevys, and expect them to be the car Chev uses as there NASCAR "shape" for 2014.

Come on guys...bit of Ozzy pride eh...so our kids kids can restore/ appreciate Commodore, like we do with Toranas

End of rant.

Im not saying they are crap.... But they, like all modern cars, lack individuality. Why not bring out a 120kw diesel, AND a 500kw turbocharged version and everything inmbetween.

Hell, with technology these days, why cant i log on to holden and order a car with my ipad tick, cross, tick, tick, tick, price... Done

the boss of Holdens when interviewed this arvo, was all beer and skittles/wonderful...said there would be VF and then some into the future...in fact it was so positive that he was call upon to defend why they were getting so much taxpayer/gov. support.
He said their Commodore local saes/ export plan would return more in tax/payroll tax etc that it was actaully cost negative to the public as far a handouts were concerned..i.e they were givin back more than they were taking.
I have no idea if that is true, and it does come from a mob that were crying poor a year or two ago,

However. look at Chevy USA..the US Goverment had to virtually buy them out a few years ago ( GFC) and now they are powering.. by all accounts.

So...I'm thinking RWDs are here for a while yet..apart from the Torana, my last car was a SS and present is a 6ltr VE alias V...so I'm for one happy

yeh .. funny you should say that Skap, ...i always said that IF Holdens built a V8 waggon with 4WD / AWD I'd buy one.
Then they did...Adventra.
i.e. best of all worlds....not Jap,....V8 for get up and go, ....AWD for going on the beach and to the snow in winter,..... Waggon for the kids stuff etc.

BUT...had a mate who had a nice black one and it near sent him broke keeping the fuel up to it.

Guess its an example of careful what you wish for........but these days with turbo/diesel etc etc it could be a goer?

As usual when ever a new model Holden comes out I am keen as mustard to see it. I actually like this model. I like the dash and interior, although not a huge fan of HUD but if it fault free then I am all for it. I hope it is a huge seller. I support Holden and will probably trade in the VY one tonner on a ute when it is released. Go Holden.
